Argh I love writing this story but people are bugging me to update other stories.
JUNGKOOK made his way to Jimin's house, knowing the other would appreciate it since Jin was working a lot to provide for the both of them. Jimin often felt like a burden though no one else saw him like that. He had cancer, who would blame him for not working every day? No one that is.
On his way to his hyung's house he noticed someone huddled on a bench, hood on and legs tucked underneath his chin. Jungkook felt like he recognized his body shape and most importantly the tacky old hoodie.
"Taehyung?", he breathed out, noticing the boy freezing as soon as the name left his lips. He neared the other and crouched down, wanting to see the boy's face to make sure it was the older.
"Don't look at me", it was indeed Taehyung who spoke with a raspy voice, hiding his face against his knees.
Jungkook dawdled for a second, debating whether or not to care this time. Though the ravenhead knew caring for others was in his nature so he was either way going to feel pity for the other. He sat down next to Taehyung, sighing as he saw how wet the other's knees were signaling he had cried a lot.
"What's wrong?"
Taehyung hiccuped, hands trying to wipe away tears and breathed in, "Why would you care? I remember snapping at you and then you acting cold. I thought we were back at being strangers".
"Well guess what? It's not in my nature to not care or act cold", Jungkook leaned against the bench, "So here I am, caring again. Now tell me what's wrong".
Taehyung finally gathered the courage to look Jungkook in the eye. The younger's mouth immediately fell agape, breath halting for a split second.
The first thing he noticed were the bruises littering the older's face ruining his pretty appearance. Blue skin adorned his warm brown eye, scratches were visible on his nose and his lip was split. His cheeks were purple and blue and a wound with dried up blood was almost hidden by his hair. His hair... it was red like a cherry and it looked perfect on him. Jungkook never thought the human before him could look so ethereal.
"What happened?", Jungkook immediately reached out to cup Taehyung's face who flinched away. The older wasn't used to soft touches so he was always hesitant with hands nearby his face. Jungkook noticed and slowed his action, body calm and eyes worried.
"I'm not going to hurt you Taehyung", Jungkook softly said, searching for eyecontact with the other who didn't let him. Taehyung nodded distanced and closed his eyes once he felt rough hands touching his face, tracing some ugly bruises. He tried to focus on Jungkook's hands and not on the surging pain in his stomach. He figured Jungkook's hands were rough from falling all the time learning how to skateboard. He relaxed in the hold after some time and the younger was glad to notice.
"What happened to you? Who did this?", Jungkook decided to ask the delicate question, not sure if he was going to get an answer.
"A f-friend. He d-didn't like m-my new h-haircut", Taehyung stuttered, feeling incredible pathetic telling Jungkook this, though he left out the 'boyfriend' part.
"What!? A friend? You better unfriend him now because that's a unhealthy friendship", Jungkook crossed his arms and gave the older a stern look.
"I-I don't w-want to".
Jungkook was dumbfounded to hear this.
"What? Why'd you want to stay with someone who hurts you like this-"
"Can you just drop it please?", Taehyung spoke with a soft voice. Jungkook was still staring at him with a weird look making him sigh.
"Please Jungkook".
"Alright but only because I'm worrying about your wounds right now", Jungkook huffed, slipping his hands into the other's larger one and pulling him up. Taehyung grunted in pain but the younger failed to notice. Jungkook knew his house would be too far to take Taehyung to so he settled on dragging the older to Jimin's house. His hyung was also far better at dealing with first aid kids than he was. He made his way to Jimin's house which wasn't far from where they were in the first place. He rang the doorbell and felt Taehyung struggle against his grip, trying to escape him.
"Why are you pulling away?", Jungkook asked, seeing the desperate look in the older's eyes.
"I-I don't want to b-be a bother", he replied, though it was only half of the truth. He had seen this house before and knew exactly who lived here. He couldn't march inside like this, knowing it would fuck things up with Yoongi even more.
"You really aren't. Jimin also likes some company", Jungkook ensured him seeing Taehyung's eyes fill with confusion.
"Jimin lives here too?", he asked, his question immediately being answered as the door flew open.
Jungkook furrowed his eyebrows at the word 'too' which means Taehyung knew about Jin living here. Did he know Jin? Was he friends with him?
"Oh hi Jungkook and um- Taehyung was it?", Jimin smiled brightly, his smile fathering as soon he noticed the bruises on the older's face, "Oh my god what happened!?"
Taehyung helplessly stared at Jungkook, who understood what the look meant.
"It's kinda personal. I thought I'd bring him here since you're far better with these kind of things", Jungkook smiled uncertainly, noticing Jimin frowning.
"Of course! I didn't study medicine for nothing though I haven't finished university yet", Jimin spoke, holding the door open for the two boys to enter.
Jimin ordered for them both to sit on the couch as he went to find the first aid kit leaving Jungkook and Taehyung in silence. Luckily Jimin came rushing in on time before it could get too awkward. He tended the brunette's wounds who hissed in pain every now and then. Jungkook watched the older, eyes going over to where Taehyung was clutching his stomach in a painful manner. He decided to keep his mouth shut for now in order to keep things calm for now.
Jimin told Taehyung to take a nap upstairs since he looked exhausted. The brunette didn't have the strength to protest, the image of a fluffy looking bed enough for him to agree. Jungkook led him upstairs while Jimin cleaned up the tissues and cotton balls he used to clean the wounds. The skaterboy finally decided to confront Taehyung when he saw the brunette's face contorting in pain when he tried lying down.
"What are you hiding?", he asked, crossing his arms as he loomed above the bed.
Taehyung peered at him from underneath the covers.
"Nothing".
"There's obviously something wrong with your stomach that you don't want to show. Why is that?"
Taehyung sighed, eyes averting away from Jungkook's stern look.
"Stop being so nosy".
"If you won't show me I'll show myself", the ravenhead said, grabbing Taehyung's hoodie and throwing it off. Taehyung was shaken out of his surprise as soon as Jungkook's hands were now tugging at his shirt.
"No- get the fuck off!", Taehyung growled, though he was still weak from all the pain he had endured and Jungkook obviously had the upperhand here.
Jungkook was finally able to hold the struggling brunette down and slipped the shirt off completely, showing the other's tan chest.
"Oh fuck", Jungkook cursed, eyes sliding over the several seemingly burn marks and red blotches looking like hickeys. One patch of skin was discolored like someone had kicked his heel in his stomach.
"What the fuck", Jungkook was at loss of words, words tumbling through his mind. Taehyung was crying again, hiding his face in his hands and body trembling harshly.
Jungkook snapped out of his inner thought progress and sat down on the bed, taking Taehyung in his arms. He didn't want to ask questions because he knew it would only worsen the other's state so he only tried to shush the other with soothing words.
Jungkook sighed and thought to himself, "What happened to you pretty stranger?"
