JUNGKOOK knew one thing and that was to not leave Taehyung alone in the state he was in. The skater was scared the other would do something stupid after this, like going to Yoongi and getting himself killed. Jungkook was not going to sit around and wait for the other to get hurt so he planned on dragging him out of the apartment. Nothing good would come out of Taehyung staying there in the place where his boyfriend had just rampaged. There were marks on the door and a shattered vase on the ground, triggering Taehyung every time he looked at it.
Jungkook searched for clothes and gave Taehyung a flannel and jeans to wear. The older blankly stared at it, mentally too freaked out about Yoongi's outburst earlier. Jungkook saw no other option than dressing the redhead himself, beginning with taking the older's shirt off and sliding the shorts from his legs, not looking at the other's body in order to respect his privacy. He eventually persuaded Taehyung into dressing himself which he finally did though it took a long time. Jungkook had already dressed himself in yesterday's clothes and was waiting patiently for Taehyung to finish dressing.
"Where are we going?", Taehyung asked as he slipped on his shoes, feeling mentally too tired to do it quickly.
"Anywhere away from here. No good thing will come out of you staying here alone", Jungkook said truthfully, taking the older's hand in his and dragging him out of the door, remembering to take the keys.
"You don't have to do this Kook", Taehyung sighed, rubbing his pained head.
"I do. We're friends after all. You let me stay the night and now I'm returning the favor".
Taehyung shortly glanced at him in the elevator mirror, "You had already returned that favor by helping me when I was beaten up".
Jungkook sighed, "Just let me do this please. I don't like seeing you hurt".
This ultimately made Taehyung shut his mouth though he was still nervously fumbling with his flannel.
"What are you scared about?", Jungkook asked, noticing the tense posture of the older when they stepped out of the elevator.
"Isn't that obvious by now?", Taehyung scoffed.
"Why don't you just dump him?", the skater asked, holding the door open for the other.
"It's not that easy", the redhead stuffed his hands in his pockets and was greeted by the rainy weather.
Jungkook frowned, thinking breaking up with someone was fairly easy. You just have to say the words. He didn't say anything though and they continued their way, Jungkook leading him to a small coffee place. The rain drizzled down, making their hair a little wet but it wasn't that bad. They finally reached the small café and the bell dinged when the two boys walked inside. The café wasn't that big with five tables in the middle and some boots at the windows. The whole place was painted white with the occasional pink details. There was one woman at the table reading the newspaper and a little boy with his father sitting in one of the boots sharing some pancakes.
"This is the place I go to whenever I'm done skating", Jungkook said, taking a seat in one of the pink boots. He suddenly halted his breath, murmuring out a soft curse.
"Taehyung we should go", he said when Taehyung had just sat down.
"Why?", the other one asked tiredly.
"I only now remembered who runs this place", Jungkook whispered, gaining the other's attention, "It's Jin".
Taehyung eyes widened but he quickly relaxed himself. It was okay. Yoongi was already pissed at him. It wouldn't matter if Jin saw the two of them together.
"Come on Taehyung we need to go", the skater ushered but said boy didn't budge.
"No", he shook his head sternly, "I can have goddamn friends and go to cafes with them. Yoongi can shove his irrational jealousy in his asshole because I'm not leaving this place like a coward would do".
Jungkook's mouth was agape and his eyes were big.
"Woah", he breathed out, "You go Tae".
Taehyung smiled the first time that day and took the menu. The nickname Jungkook gave him made him extra content and he realized he was really hungry from all that crying.
"I'm taking this, this and this and this", he giggled, pointing at all the names and licking his lips at the thought of devouring all the sweet treats.
"You seem hungry", Jungkook grinned, eyes glazing over the menu too.
"I think I'm taking the pancakes with strawberries", he tilted his head, "And a Cappuccino".
As soon as they had decided their food a man appeared in front of their table.
"Taehyung", the male said and Taehyung didn't even need to look up to know who it was.
"Hi Jin", he smiled brightly, hiding his red puffy eyes from him, "Can I have the blueberry muffin, hazelnut pie and chocolate chip waffles... oh! And Hot Chocolate with whipped cream".
The oldest jotted the order down but he was glaring at Taehyung immensely.
"And I want the strawberry pancakes, a cappuccino and a smile", he looked up at Jin who was still frowning. Jin was writing down mindlessly so he had only realized what he had written when he was back at the kitchen. He reread the order and gritted his teeth. That fucking asshole.
"He didn't even realize what you said", Taehyung chuckled softly, aware of Jin lurking nearby.
"As a waiter you should smile and not fucking glare at the customers", Jungkook shrugged, "You did nothing wrong to him. He made it so Yoongi is now mad at you. It's his fault".
Taehyung's smile dropped, "It's also my fault. I shouldn't have slept next to you".
"But we didn't even do anything", Jungkook replied, "We barely cuddled".
"To be honest", Taehyung sighed, admitting in a small voice, "A year ago I accidently dropped my bag on the street which made the contents spill out. Some stranger who saw it happen helped me get everything back and I thanked him, shaking his hand. Jin saw this, told Yoongi and I got punished for that encounter. Jin has been trying to break us apart ever since Yoongi and I got together. He's obviously in love with Yoongi".
"But that's horrible", Jungkook frowned, "You didn't do anything wrong. Taehyung... How can you live with someone like that?"
Taehyung averted his gaze, wanting to reply but Jin was already there with their order. He almost slammed the plates down and without saying anything else he walked off.
"Well he's not getting a tip", Jungkook chuckled, immediately diving into his pancakes. Taehyung insentiently chewed on his waffles, thinking about what the younger had asked him.
"I still love him", he spoke up, stopping Jungkook in his eating. The skater stared at him, waiting Taehyung to go on.
"I still love him after everything he's done. I still yearn for him after every beating. I still miss him after every time getting kicked out. I don't know why, I don't have a reasonable explanation for why I feel like this but it's just how I've always felt. Yoongi was my first love and he'll stay that forever. He was my first kiss, my first time, my first in everything. He's my comfort and my anxiety. He's my... everything".
