Leonardo P.O.V.

Venus followed me as I carried Don to his room. "We're just going to let him rest for a while." I said, laying him down on the bed. "Donnie will be sore when he wakes up. We'll check up on him every now and then, just in case he gets up sooner."

She just looked guiltily at him, hugging herself.

"You know," I said as we walked into his room. "It's not your fault, people- or in this case turtles- do bad things sometimes." I laid Donnie down on his bed and threw a blanket over top of him.

Venus grabbed Donatello's chair at his desk and dragged it over to beside of his resting spot and sat down.

She stared at him with a hint of worry in her eyes.

"Venus, you don't have to do this you know." She just kept on staring.

I tried to think of something else that we could do while Master Splinter was busy with Mikey.

Mikey is the only one who seems to know what to do with her. And she only tries to communicate with him. The rest of us don't really know much, but we're still trying.

I suddenly got an idea. "Hey, why don't I teach you sign language." This grabbed her attention.

She turned and looked over at me curiously.

"Come on," I motioned for her to follow. "I'll show you."

We walked across the hallway into my room. I looked over my bookshelf and grabbed the one I was looking for. "How to Speak When You're Mute for Dummies". I found it in a dumpster a couple years back before we started going up top.

I turned and went to sit on my bed. She followed my actions and sat down beside me as I explained and showed her what to do.

****** This skip is brought to you by Donatello's nap time *******

We finished our session by dinner time. All that time Venus learned how to sign 'hello', 'yes', 'no', 'maybe', 'goodbye', 'sorry' and 'what'. We tried out a couple of sentences too, but decided to call it a night for now and work on it some more tomorrow.

"Let's go check on Donnie real quick and see what we can find to eat." I said, closing the book. She gave me a thumbs up.

I taught her that also.

I flashed a warm big brotherly smile before getting up and heading out of the room, Venus trailing behind me.

We walked across the hallway and I peeked into Donnie's room. He was sitting up, holding his head groggily.

It looked like he just woke up, so I decided it would be best to be quiet and stay calm.

I knocked on the door so he would know that I was there. "How are you feeling?"

"Like a truck hit me.." He mumbled through his hands covering his face.

I walked over and sat on the foot of his bed as Venus stayed at the doorway. "Do you remember what happened?"

"Well," he rubbed the top of his head, "We ran into the sewers because Mikey went up too with Venus and we eventually found him. The the Kraang started to attack us and after that.." He had sudden realization on his face now. "Where is she? Was she the one that gave me a concussion? Are the others-"

"Everyone is okay." I put a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "And, yes, she was the one who electrocuted you."

He looked like he was about to freak out some more so I cut him off. "But! She's okay now. Venus is one of us again. And, no, I didn't get the collar off because I don't have the slightest idea on how to do that."

"Are you sure she is one of us again? She's not going to surprise attack us all again?" He asked.

"Yes, I promise."

I looked over and saw Venus standing in the doorway. I motioned for her to come in and she did, hands behind her back.

I could Donatello was holding himself back from either having a heart attack or jumping off the bed and trying to strangle her.

Venus made the clockwise motions with her right hand to form the word 'sorry' and ran out of the room blushing.
