Sarah was startled by the ring of the doorbell as the sound echoed through the house. She shoved the whisky back into the cabinet. She rushed over to the door.
Sarah gripped the doorknob tightly, her knuckles white, her palms sweaty. She was shaking. She opened the door a few inches and peeked out.
"H-hello?" she asked.
"Hey." a deep, gentle voice replied.
"O-oh. H-hey, Eren."
"Are you alright?" he asked.
"Y-yeah. Fine."
"You sure?"
"Yes.... just.... ARGH!!" she snarled, "JUST.... GO AWAY!!! LEAVE ME ALONE!!!"
"But.... Sarah--"
"JUST LEAVE!!! PLEASE!!!" she cried before slamming the door in her only friends face.
After slamming the door, Sarah pressed her back on it and listened for a few seconds before hearing footsteps go down the few front porch steps. Then, she slid down and buried her face in her arms and knees, crying.
