In wake of Hurricane Irma threatening many places such as Florida, The Bahamas, Cuba, and Puerto Rico (just to name a few because I know there's plenty more), I hope this Tree Bros fluff ft siblings goals will make some people happier!

"And so, Hurricane Justin sweeps through the nation, causing major destruction in its path-"

Connor abruptly shuts off the television, groaning. He had heard enough about this damn hurricane.

He stands and walks towards the living room window, staring outside. It's pouring rain, and the wind rustles the trees.

Sure, Connor should be concerned about himself. Himself, his family, his sister, his house. But all Connor could think about is his boyfriend, Evan.

Evan has anxiety. He absolutely despises thunder and lightening storms. But a hurricane? That's a whole different territory of trauma.

All of a sudden, the power flickers out. Connor hears his mother scream from across the house, and then his father yelling for her to shut up and to not be dramatic.

Zoe comes stumbling down the stairs, looking alarmed. Everyone has their fears, Connor knows that. He has plenty of his own.

But Connor had no idea Zoe is afraid of the dark. He hesitantly watched as she starts crying, hugging herself as she leans against the wall.

"Shit." He whispers to himself as he tugs on the sleeves of his sweatshirt. To be nice or to be rude?

Connor quietly pads over to his sister, her cries getting louder as he gets closer.

When he reaches forward and places a hand on her shoulder, she gasps and jerks away, tripping on the bottom stair.

"O-Oh, I'm-" His mouth feels dry. "Sorry." He abruptly spits out, then his voice gets gentler. "I'm sorry."

Zoe looks up at her brother with tears streaming down her cheeks. She let's out a sob and then jumps into his arms, crying into his shoulder.

Connor is taken aback for a moment, not knowing what to do with his arms. But he hugs Evan constantly, right?

So he wraps his arms around Zoe's slim waist, and her body melts into his more. What would he say to Evan?

"I-It's, um, it's gonna be okay."

"I hate the dark, Connor."

"Then gets some candles and some flashlights and set them up around the living room. I-I'll help."

Zoe lifts her head. "You'd do that for me?"

"Yeah. You're my sister, right?"

Zoe smiles, nodding. So the siblings go around the house, searching for every candle and flashlights possible. However, all Connor could think about is Evan.

Is he okay? Is Heidi home? Does he like the rain? Or absolutely hate it? Is he in his room? Or in the living room? Is he in bed? Or in the closet?

Zoe looks over as she sees Connor anxiously scrolling through his phone- with no service- sighing. "Connor, I bet he's okay."

Connor's head snaps up. "What? What are you-"

"Mom and Dad may be absolutely blind, but I'm not. I know you're dating Evan."

"Y-"

"I see you two at school, even if you try to hide it. Evan hates thunderstorms, I've seen him panic in math class before. And this is more than a thunderstorm, but I think you should go over to his house and make sure he's okay." Zoe goes on nonchalantly, lighting candles.
