I wake up to the sound of my alarm and dreadfully get out the bed. Its the last day of dance conditioning and tryouts plus school and i was dog tired. These new potential Dancin Dolls have been working my damn nerves but they put in the work so i know we gonna slay this football season!
"I dont wanna go to school today, im gonna just come to conditioning later" Diamond whines as i answer her facetime call. Her and Toya are our only majorettes while Jas and i are dance captains. This is how we all met in 8th grade. "Girl get up! Its the last day its gone be so chill today!" "But im tiirreed" she continues to whine. I stare at her blankly waiting for her to get it together.
"Jason mustve had you up all night?" I ask yawning sitting the phone on the bed. She and Jason have been dating since freshman year. Jasmine has been dating my cousin Cortez since like 8th grade. Also Toya and my bestie Ayden have been together since last year. All my friends are in great relationships, its me who has been single the last 4 months.
"Lashae! Bih you hear me? You good?" Diamond yells my middle name getting my attention. "Oh yea gurl im good" i smile faintly picking up the phone. "Yea yea" she continues to stare at me." Dee im good, you just bring your ass to school! On time!" i say smiling waving bye to her.
Gainesville High School
"Cousin!" i hear getting out of my 2008 honda civic coupe grabbing my notebook and brown Dooney & Burke satchel purse i got from the Goodwill. Issa steal!
"Hey tezzy wezzy!" i scream walking to his black charger where he stood with his hands around Jasmine kissing on her neck. Ughhh these too!😣. My girl keeps grounded and out of trouble. I love her for that. "Bye man" he says playfully mugging me. I hug Jas and lean on the car with them pulling out my phone after it vibrates.

I roll my eyes at the text from Tre. He has been trying to meet up and talk for about a month now but i keep making excuses or plain up ignoring him. Buuuuutttt....i think im gonna just get it over with today. I really don't want to dislike him forever.
"Booga" i hear but dont even bother to look up because i already know who is. "Hey Ayden !" i say finally lifting my head after telling Tre to meet me at the football field after tryouts.
He calls me "booga" because the day we met i was sick as hell but came to school because i had 2 exams to do. I sneezed and there wasn't any tissue handy , so i had to catch it in my hand. This idiot screamed " eeww you sneezed a booga on the table". The class, including myself died laughing. He's been like my best guy friend ever since. Plus, he and Toya are sooooo cute. Now he, calmed her down.
"Hello motherfuckers!" Toya yells coming over with a sleepy looking Diamond and Jason. She stands on her tip toes kissing Ayden. Everybody replied and we begin to walk to our first classes of the day. We ALL had 1st and 6th period together.
"Ayo Tez, Angelo should be here for good today right?" Jason asks. My ears perk up. Who is this guy? Im the only one who hasn't met him because apparently he comes during the summer when im visiting my dads family in Virginia.
"Hell yea, he coming all little later to talk to couch and for the football meeting." he replies wrapping his arm around Jas. Again....Disgustingly cute. Lol. "I want him to meet a certain person, but i aint gone say no names." he jokes smiling looking goofy 😒. Everybody laughs except me.
"Y'all gotta stop." I say walking into the class first. " But ill meet him if he's gonna be apart of the crew this summer, plus it'll be nice to have someone around when you lames are being all lovey dovey" "You hating ass bitch!" Jas laughs. Diamond trips me almost making me fall.
" You petty ass little girl." i say catching myself, laughing. I love my friends.
