Chapter 15- My Saviour

We pulled our clothes on in silence, it had been a couple of weeks since we had made our arrangement and nothing had changed. Our relationship remained the same, there were no displays of tenderness or affection shared between us, only need and urgency.

"Are you going to the party tonight?" I asked him casually.

"Not sure yet" he replied vaguely. I frowned and didn't want to question him further, if he didn't want to tell me then I wasn't going to force him. I was only trying to show some common courtesy, but he was obviously not getting it.

"Well I'll see you later then" I waved as I walked out of the door. Before I could leave, he pulled me in for a another heated kiss. I kissed him back after a seconds hesitation, he had taken me by surprise, he wasn't normally keen on kissing me after the deed was done , if you know why I mean. When he pulled away, he gave me the grin he knew made my heart beat faster. Damn that boy.

The corridor of the science block was thankfully empty so I didn't have to think up any excuses as to why I'd been in the empty store from for such a long time. I tried in vain to tidy up my hair because it practically screamed out exactly what I'd been doing.

Later that day..........

He had been looking at me all night. I didn't know him, not even by acquaintance, which is why it seemed so strange. He had a pale, twisted face that was made unforgettable by those heavy lidded grey eyes. They were almost colourless against the whites of his eyes and the way he looked at me he sent a shiver down my spine.

"Seriously, Mad. Do you know that guy?" Ana's voice rang in my ears, tone bordering on accusatory. I looked up at her in annoyance.

"I already told you, no. I've never seen him before in my life" I snapped and immediately felt bad as I saw the way her face fell from my comment.

"Sorry, it's just creeping me out a little bit" I explained in a consolatory tone. The frown disappeared and she looked concerned.

"Anyway... I'm so glad you could come, let's just have some fun shall we?" I reminded her and she smiled, her dark eyes glittering in excitement. Her parents hardly ever let her come to parties, they didn't want to see their beautiful daughter corrupted. They were staunch Spanish Catholics and Ana constantly complained they wouldn't let her live her life, but having met Mr and Mrs Garcia I came to believe they had the best possible intentions. Not that I agreed with them.

"Yes! Let's dance" she squealed and dragged me towards the crowd of people. I gave Mel a look from across the room that basically said: 'join us or pay for it later'. She laughed and joined us immediately. I hadn't spotted Greg amongst the party goers and was confused at the disappointment that filled me at his absence, but I couldn't ask Mel without her getting suspicious: I had never shown any interest before. Ana downed the rest of her drink and danced more wildly than ever, I rolled my eyes and silently reminded myself to keep an eye on her.

"I'm just going to the toilet, I'm bursting" I said hurriedly, before threading through the throng of people. The guy from earlier was no where to be seen. I heaved a sigh of relief.

Now that I thought about it I realized that I didn't know exactly where the bathroom was. I wandered around aimlessly for a few minutes, before I heard footsteps behind me. Frightened, I jerked around to see the culprit. The hallway was empty. And dark. I was beginning to get a bit weirded out, I needed to find the toilet and return to the girls as quickly as possible.

"Ow!" I cried out in pain as my back slammed against the wall with substantial force. I looked up at who had pushed me, it was the guy who had been staring at me all night. A chill passed through me.
