It was my 23rd birthday today and our one year anniversary tomorrow and nick had made some plans!
It was now noon and Nick had been out all day
Me: hey babe, where are you??
Nick❤️: just finishing a couple of errands. Be done soon :)
I sigh and watch tv, waiting for Nick to get home, after an hour of waiting and watching tv Nick walks through the door
"Are you ready for an adventure???" Nick smiles as he looks at me
"I sure am!" I jump up off the couch and we walk out to the car. "Where have you been for the last couple of hours?" I ask as he drives
"Oh um.. no where important" he says, I frown a little "oh okay" I look out the window and sigh
Nick pulls into the parking lot of a fancy restaurant and we get out of the car "have you ever been here?" Nick asks as we walk in, I look around at the beautiful place and smile to myself
"I have not, but there's a first time for everything" we take a seat at a table set up in the back and go over the menu
"Get anything and everything you want!" Nick says, I laugh a little "ai ai captain"
By the time we are done eating dinner it is 9:00 pm and getting dark "I have one more place I want to take you.." Nick says driving to the destination
"Keep this on, and trust me" Nick says blind folding me. I get a little nervous and Nick helps me out of the car.
After walking for what felt like forever we finally stop, I hear nothing but calm running water
"You can take it off now" he whispers. Once I take it off I smile, looking at the fountain where Nick asked me to be his girlfriend
"Our spot" I say, looking over at Nick who looks like he's about to pass out "nick, are you alright?" I grab his hands
"I'm good.. perfect actually" he looks up at me and smiles.
"Lilly there's something I need to ask you" he rubs the back of his neck with his hand "Ask away" I smile at him
"Look, I know we just moved in together about 2 days ago and I know we've only been dating for a year as of tomorrow but, my time spent with you is the best time I've ever spent with someone in my life.. you light up my world. I go to sleep with a smile on my face knowing I get to wake up to you. You make me nervous and happy and I love you more than anything.. so my question is.. Lilly Elizabeth Ross.. will you marry me??" Nick gets down on one knee as he finishes talking, opening a box with a beautiful ring in it.
I cover my mouth with one of my hands and start to shake and cry "Nick, of course I will marry you!!" He smiles and hugs me tightly, lifting me up off of the ground, I lean down and kiss him
As we pull away he wipes the tears off of my face and slides the ring on my finger "I love you" he says "I love you more" I smile, kissing him again.
