Jacqueline: Annie, are you okay?

Jacqueline: I heard what happened

Jacqueline: Do you need to talk to me?

Jacqueline: ...

Jacqueline: I just realised that you might not have your phone on you, sorry

Jacqueline: I'll try again in a little bit

*that morning*

Jacqueline: Hey, still wondering of you're okay

Jacqueline: I'm actually super worried if you can see these messages please respond with something

Jacqueline: ...

Jacqueline: Message me when you can, I think I'm stressing way too much over this...

I furrowed my brows at her messages, they were all sent the night before and that morning. She was my therapist but I didn't think she should have been that worried about me.

Me: I'm fine, don't worry

I exited the conversation and went into the one I had with Rey, thinking about how much of a dick I would've seemed to him, but it really wasn't my fault. It was more the overprotectiveness of Luke, which had made it practically impossible to do anything without him watching over me. I was happy that I had Luke, but at times he was too much and going on the tour had given me the freedom to do almost whatever I wanted.

Me: Hey... It's been a while...

Me: I'm so sorry just after everything with Liz I couldn't find the time to talk to you and Luke just wasn't letting me do anything...

Rey had responded within a couple of seconds and I was quite shocked that he was up, as I had just realised that it was 7 in the morning where he was.

Rey: It's fine, don't beat yourself up about it

Rey: So are you ok?

Me: Kinda, I guess...

Me: I'm really grateful that you still want to talk to me haha...

Rey: Why the fuck wouldn't I? You are my best friend and I understand how busy you've been :)

Me: Thanks, you're probably one of my only true friends who's actually my age

Rey: Well sometimes you need a little bit of a break to socialise with 'your people'

Me: You're making me sound like an alien

Rey: Who's saying I'm not? ;)

Me: You're weird

Rey: You're weirder you weirdo

Me: I'm not the one who walked for 40 minutes to get Macca's then to realise it was closed

Rey: Shut up that was Seths idea...

Me: Mm?

We continued talking as we used to for a couple more minutes until Jacqueline replied to my messages, I apologised to Rey and told him that I'd be back before opening Jacqueline's messages.
