Chapter 8

This chapter has both Anika and Shivaay's Pov

Shivaay's Pov

I was standing near Anika's bed was looking at her face, which has a red handprint mark due to the slap by that bastard. I tucked her hairs beside her earlobe, and she looked so beautiful. I was mesmerized by her. She was peacefully sleeping due to the drugs injected into her body. Her brother is lying on the bed beside her. He had several injuries, but due to the painkillers given to him, he is also asleep.

Shivaay smiles

I am smiling like a fool smitten by this beautiful soul. I expected Anika to slap me, but she hugged me. Her touch always sends me electric current in my body. If I have not acted foolishly in the past, then she would have been already mine. Now, what to say? I shouldn't have fallen into her words and left Anika; it was my mistake. Now I will make everything right.

I sat beside her bed, holding her hands, and drifts into sleep.

Shivaay was sitting on a chair. He adjusted himself in the chair and slept over there.

Anika Pov

I felt heaviness in opening my eyes. It's my eyes, not any rock that I am unable to move. I slowly open it and adjust to my surroundings. Amazingly I am in the hospital and what's the most interesting fact is my brother beside me. I realized that someone is holding my hand and then I turned around and saw Shivaay holding my hand...ufffff My Shivaay is holding my hand. Oh my gosh, how cute he looks while sleeping.

Anika, stop drooling over Shivaay... He rejected you once, but maybe he rejected me because he thought I m immature. Maybe he thought I was not serious and end up one day regretting my decision. He is the one who protected me today. I will make him mine. (Anika talking to herself)

I slowly caress his face. Oh god, I can't understand the feelings of touching him.

Soon I felt sleepy again....these medicines are seriously sleeping drugs then why don't drug addicts prefer this to drugs. These both make you sleep before I can further process my thinking ... I drifted into sleep.

In morning

Shivaay Pov...

I slowly get up. I see Anika was still sleeping, and I slowly free my hand from hers. I freshen up as I entered the room. I see Siddharth is awakened. He was looking gloomy, and the moment he saw me, he smiled.

Am I dreaming... He threatened me not to show my face once again the day I rejected Anika, and today, he is smiling at me. I m still confused why they want me to be Anika's personal bodyguard once again. How Siddharth granted his permission? I m still confused.

Sid - Shivaay

Shivaay -Yes, sir

Sid - Thank you for saving my sister... I thought I would lose her as I lost everyone. She is my only family.

Shivaay - It's my job, sir. I will save her till my last breath

Sid smirks

Why the hell is he smirking. Oh god, what happened to Siddharth. I think they should scan his head. I think he is gone crazy by any hard blow on his head. I think he has a concussion.

Anika - What the hell Siddharth Kapoor?

Sid - My angry bird. ..

She looks so cute while angry. Suppose I hadn't rejected her then. I m still regretting my decision.

Shivaay holds sid's shoulder - Sir but

Shivaay nods. Sid goes to Anika's bed. Anika gets up. She sits with crossing her legs (Indian style). Sid comes and sits beside her. Sid hugs her, and he was teary-eyed.

Sid - Anu, I am sorry. Please forgive me

Anika - Bhaiyu... I am fine

Anika wipes away tear stains from sid's face. Sid gives a weak smile

Anika - Dad

Tej comes and hugs Anika.

Tej's face lack freshness. He had dark circles under his eyes. His hair was disheveled. His tie was hanging loosely, and his shirt's first few buttons were opened. He was a total mess.

Anika - Dad, u look tired; please take some rest.

Tej - Anika I am fine... My princess...
