Well, here we go onto our second Fandom. I honestly didn't think I'd make it this far considering my last story only got two chapters before I left it hanging. Aaaaanyways.. Let's start.
Vampire Knight ocs may be some of the worst ocs I've ever heard of in an anime about Vampires, Love triangles and drama. Like seriously, they're almost identical to Twilight ocs. (But we'll talk about that later) They all seem to have the same basis on my explanations, so let's start here.
Your character is either a Human or a Vampire unless you are using fanfiction rules. Your character is not cannon, and they are not a werewolf, an elf, a goblin, a demon, an angel etc. If you plan to roleplay the original storylines with ocs involved, you're gonna have to drop the rare species act because nobody is gonna roleplay with you, unless they enjoy the same fanfiction and concepts. You should never make an oc for a community and make it a different species. Having said that, I'll move right into this; your vampire character cannot be a pureblood unless you have a reason for making them one. The only exception I will make is if they came from a different country, because as it's stated in the anime and manga, there are very little purebloods in that area. Just make them normal. I have plenty of normal ocs that I use and people love them because they have a good story and personality, not because they're special.
Next up on my list is naming characters. If their nationality is Japanese and they were born in Japan, their name is not Samantha or Luna or something like that. Their name would be Japanese or from another Asian culture. If they come from another country, that's fine if their name is different, but be aware of this; if they come from Britain/UK they are not going to be named Luna, Star or anything along those lines. From America, yes, Luna and Star are okay. From Spain, Luna is okay. And please for the love of God, don't name your oc Shizuka.
Alright, third on our list is age. Vampire Knight takes place in a high school academy, where many of the students are in their teen years. No, your character is not 14 unless they were pushed up a grade and I highly doubt that they were. If they were held back, which is more common, they can be a year or more older than the others, depending on how many times they were held back. That's about all you should know about this.
Also, family should always have a backstory too. Each family member should have a name and a backstory too, even if it's not mentioned. It gives your characters a good depth and allows you to understand them more
That's all I got right now.
