“Goodmorning mom, dad. It’s such a hot day.” I gave them a morning kiss and tied my hair into a ponytail. “Al, answer us honestly to this question we’re about to ask, okay?”

“Sure mom, shoot.” I ate my toast.

“Are you seeing someone?” I choked on my food. “What? Why would you think that?”

                                “Answer!” Dad exclaimed.

“No, sir. Haven’t. Ever. SSB.” I shrugged.

“Then explain why did you sneak up last night? What is there to think? Is he someone we know?”

                “No!”

                                “So there is someone.”

                No, I mean.”

“Young lady, you are not allowed to sneak out or else your allowance is cut for a year.”

“Yes sir.” Dad is really scary this way.

“Burn~ you really got caught sneaking out for a guy?” Moni said.

“Yeah but it wasn’t a guy though. I was just…. Filling my head.”

“It’s a good thing too.” (Frey)

“Mhmm. It’s dangerous, Al. One could take advantage of you.” Tori agreed

“Okay, don’t worry. By the way, where’s Liza and Mhia?”

“Oh, Mhia kept showing Liza that video I took of her.” Elaina replied.

-à “Delete that video right now, Mhia! “ Liza warned. The video kept playing. “Ahh! So embarrassing ! Make it stop!”

For those who are concerned, Mhia eventually stopped. This is just our normal idea of teasing. Though we still have are open forums to keep the friendship true and healthy.

                “Hey Al!” Lance miraculously called.

“Yeah?” I glanced back. “What is it?”

“No.. uhmm. Nothing.” He rubbed his neck. Maxx appeared behind him glinting, weird. “If you have nothing to say, shut up. Weirdo.”

“Who you calling a weirdo, nerd!”

“Hi-hi. I’ll catch you guys later!” I waved energetically. Maxx waved back but Lance just coldly put his tongue out. I grinned. It was nice that we were getting along well.

“So, how is the duo been doing in the project?” Liza nudged. “Uh, great. We’re actually a team now.”

“Mr. badboy seems nice today. Is something up?” (Frey)

“Oh oh! Are you guys together-together?” (Moni)

“What! O-of course not. You know I can’t. Dad said strickly, no boyfriend until graduation.” I defended.

“I just realize, Al. Why do you have Building if you’re an Education student?” Tori said out of curiosity.

“Oh yeah, I’ve been wondering about that too.”(Mhia)

“Well.”

                Well~?” they chorused.

“I wanted to take up Fine Arts before but couldn’t so I decided to enroll on at least one but all that was available was Ms. Pecson’s Building class.”

“You really did want to become an artist.” Elaina said. “More than ever, but you know teaching has its creative ways as well.” I responded with optimism.

Frey tapped on my shoulder. “Don’t worry, for us. You are still the most awesome ‘drawer’ there is.” We actually laughed even though it’s a corny joke.

Those little joke true friends make are the ones that help you get through; helping you appreciate the most simplest of things. That’s why if any parent would dare take them away, they’ll be making a huge mistake because true friends are the ones who are there in the darkest of moments aside from them.

So I say I’m lucky to have such friends and family who loves me and scolds me. Giving them the quality time they deserve.

Later, I’ll be designing our 99.8% functioning contraption so we have to hurry ‘cause its movie night at Maxx’s place, Nathan’s request. And the school bell rings in 3, 2, …

“C’ya later Al! Oh and behave Maxx.” Liza shouted.

“Yeah, yeah. See you tomorrow.” Maxx replied.

We went to get Nathan at home. There wasn’t any conversation happening. He kept holding his phone though. We finally arrived at Maxx’s house. “Big bro! I wanna watch Zorro!”

“Isn’t that too violent for your age, Picachu?” I mocked.

“No, no! It’s the best! You should see him achi! His sword goes SLASH! And he has the coolest horse EVER!”

“Don’t spoil her, Nate. The bad guy might kidnap her. Hahaha. Zorro is fine!”

Mon and Dad were working late tonight so it’s okay if we went back around 11 given that Maxx would accompany us.

Ding-dong. The door rang. “I’ll get it.” Maxx rushed. “You invited someone else over too?”

                                “Yaa, Lance is staying overnight.”

                ‘What?!”
