*Ali’s point of view

“Ring ring ring, someone’s calling you! Ring!”

“Hello?” I answered yawningly. “Maxx?” I studded. “Say what?!” I quickly dashed to Maxx’s house. I was about to climb up inside when…

“That was fast.” He said while standing in front of their gate. “Are you crazy? Waking me up saying you were having palpitations and that no one else was around KNOWING by the way that I live around 7 blocks away?” I panted.

“It’s your wake up call. You wouldn’t get up at 5am in the morning, would you?”

“It’s not funny. It’s worse than getting you an eraser three rooms away during high school. I can’t believe you made me run for an eraser.”

He smiled. “I’ll get you some hot choco. Do you want anything else?”

Maxx doesn’t admit his faults so he continues with words that might make you feel better and if it doesn’t work, he gets all touchy and stuff. So you really just have to go with it. Sigh. “Just let me take a bath.”

I don’t actually take a bath in just anyone’s house especially guys but Maxx is an exception. My parents already know him as a guy that wouldn’t dare do anything to their semi-boyish daughter.

After taking a shower, I immediately dressed for my early breakfast with Maxx. “So, why did you wake me at five in the morning?” I asked. “Because we have plans with Fletcher today.”

“Oh shit. I completely forgot! Was that today?” I panicked.

“See? I knew you would. If I’m correct, your usual jog was last week so you thought of relaxing today.”

“Got me memorized, huh?”

                “Mhmm.”

“Well, my monthly jog is actually last LAST week, so yeah~ oh why don’t you look at the time! it’s 5:45. Leggo!” I teased. We eventually left and arrived at the bridge.

“He’s still not here? It has been 5 minutes already.” Maxx said. “No, he’s here. C’mon” I attempted to jump. “Hey! Get down from there. If you want us to go down, we can simply walk down through the rock stairs.” Maxx worried. “Oh.. right.”

We wnt down and saw Lance standing. “You guys are fashionably late for someone smart and fellow smart-like.” Lance said. We started planning on how we were to create a moving bird that actually flies. Lance just sat by the river.

“Hm. Hey Al, how about you go home early today?” Maxx requested.

“What? But we haven’t finished planning yet.”

“Don’t worry, I’ll tell you what we got on Monday.” I’ll see you later.”

I was a bit discontented but at least I could do some research instead but still this is so discomforting. So I left.

*Maxx’s point of view

Sigh. We can’t finish anything with these two’s estrangement. After making Ali leave, I spoke to Lance.

“Hey.” I called. “You know, Al isn’t that TOO pestering. She’s actually someone sweet.”

“Pft. Sweet? Are you a masochist? That girl isn’t who you think she is. She’s not that sweet.”
