The two friends were in the midst of drawing when hyper 4-year-old Sonic the Hedgehog came busting into the room. "HEY!" He shouted, sounding angry. "HOW DARE YOU DRAW WITHOUT TELLING ME ABOUT IT! I DON'T KNOW WHY YOU MUST DISCLUDE ME ALL THE TIME! IT'S NOT LIKE I DISCLUDE YOU!" Rouge giggled at Sonic's comment, much to his dismay. Sonic proceeded to narrow his eyes at the bat and put his hands on his hips. "Sorry, hon", Rouge said, now serious. "I promise I won't forget to invite you next time. Now come over here with us and show me the best picture you've ever drawn!" Sonic smiled, deciding to shrug off his anger, and sat down beside his friend and brother as they each drew pictures of the Space Colony ARK. Just as they were in the midst of doing so, Shadow and Maria entered the room. Seeing what was going on, Maria smiled at the drawing animals. "Look, Shadow!" She said, pointing to the animals. "Want to draw with them? I'm sure it will be fun!" Shadow looked at his friends in an unintrested manner, then back at a hopeful Maria. Maria smiled at Shadow. "I've never gotten to see what a wonderful artist you might be!" She said enthusiastically. "I'm sure that you can draw the best pictures in the world! Please, do it for me?"
Rouge looked at the two friends in disgust. 'How repulsive', she thought. 'I don't want to see those two lovebirds kissing in front of my art'.
She was about to get up and leave when she felt a little hand touch hers. 'What could it be now?' She thought. She looked down to see little Silver the Hedgehog gently grabbing onto her hand, having a look of hope in his eyes. "Rouge?" The 2-year-old hedgehog asked hopefully. "Can you please draw a picture of me and you on the Space Colony ARK? I know my Mommy and Daddy won't let me stay here for long, and I never want to forget this time! Also, I could tape it on my wall as a keepsake forever!" Rouge couldn't help but smile at the happy little hedgehog. "Whatever you say, darling", she told him, forcing a happy smile. But deep down, she was not happy. In fact, she was jealous. She couldn't stand the fact that Shadow and Maria spent so much time together. SHE was Shadow's best friend, and she was determined to get Shadow thinking that way again- no matter what.
