Stephanie's POV
Today couldn't get any worse. A couple of days ago my bestfriend scheduled a blind date, and we had to meet at the carnival today. But guess what. I'm here all alone and my date decided that it would be nice to let me know after I get here that he can't make it because he wasn't "feeling it". I would've accepted the excuse if he would've just told me he didn't want to do this in the first place...and now I'm stuck here for 4 hours until my friend picks me back up.
"Hey you look like you aren't having a good time" A blonde boy said while walking up to me. I was reluctant at first to tell my business to a stranger, but in reality I had nothing better to do. "I'm not. Today has been horrible so far" I said to the mysterious blonde boy "Care to explain?" He asked curiously. "I don't even know your name and you expect me to explain my day to you" I said in realization. "Well to be fair I don't know yours either, but only since I came up to you first, My name is Brady, Yours?" He asked "My name is Stephanie, and if you really wanna know what happend, My blind date canceled on me and didn't tell me until after my friend dropped me off and I bought my tickets" I explained. "Well what kind of date is that" "I would never leave my date outside in the cold, especially not one as cute as you" He said slyly. I can't believe I blushed to something so cheesy. "Hey, I have an idea, why don't I help you finish your date" Brady suggested. "Why would you want to do that" I asked confused "Well technically it's still a blind date because we both are strangers" Brady smiled. "Well then, I'd like that a lot" I smiled back. "But if you really want this date then you have to win me a bear from that booth over there " I challenged "One bear for the pretty lady coming right up" He said as he walked to the booth. It was a pin booth...and he did it he actually won me a bear. "You really want this date don't you" I teased "You wouldn't believe it...now that you have your bear, let's continue". And we did, we went to some more booths and after we went to rides. Many of which I was scared. We ate and afterwards we decided to go on the cheesiest ride of them all. The Farris Wheel.
"I can't believe you talked me into this" I said while getting in the seat "You'll love it, and if you dont...consider this a bad date" He joked. The ride started and when we were at the top the engineer did his annual pause of the ride. "You know this is the date I hoped for in the beginning, I'm just glad it wasn't with the douche that stood me up" I said quietly "Me too, In all honesty I only went over there because I thought you were lost but then I realized you were sad, I didn't expect to be having an amazing date with you" He said. I glanced over to see him already staring at me. We kept eye contact for what seem like ages, until he started leaning in...and so did I. We were about to kiss, until the ride jolted and startled the both of us. We got off the ride and started to walk to the parking lot. "My brother should be here any minute" Brady said "Same here for my friend "I said. "The stars look so beautiful tonight" I gazed "Not as beautiful as you" He said while pulling me into his chest. "Can I kiss you?" He asked, before I could respond his lips were on mine, and I kissed back. It was the best kiss I've ever had. "I like how I couldn't answer the question" I teased as we broke away. "Well I just wanted to get a quick taste of what is soon to be mine" He flirted. "What makes you think I'll be yours in the future" I teased "I have a feeling" He flirted back. His brother and my friend pulled up at the same time. "Hey I would love to do this again, is it ok if we exchange information" Brady asked "To have another date like this...and to have another kiss like this" I flirted as I gave him my info. "If you don't text me I'm gonna hunt you down" I joked. "I'll see you soon" He smiled. I kissed him on the cheek before getting in the car with my friend. "So tell me how it went" my friend said excitedly.
