Even after they had reconciled their differences, Froakie was still a little uncomfortable around Hawlucha. How did one become friends with someone they had been screaming insults at just an hour ago? Eventually he excused himself, claiming to be tired, and went to sleep.
Hours later, however, Froakie woke up from a nightmare about one of his old trainers. Breathing heavily, he looked around to see if he had woken anyone up. Surprisingly enough, everyone still seemed to be asleep. Not wanting to disturb his teammates but also not wanting to go back to sleep, he silently crept out of the tent and sat outside, shivering violently from cold.
He didn't know how long he'd been sitting there, freezing in the cold winter air, when suddenly a blanket was draped around his shoulders. Froakie looked up to see Hawlucha sitting beside him, a gentle, concerned look in his eyes.
"Hawlucha? What are you doing?" he questioned.
"It's cold out here," the Aztec bird Pokemon replied.
He didn't ask Froakie to explain why he was sitting outside in the cold. Instead, he gave him nothing but warmth and company, knowing that this was exactly what he needed.
