Hawlucha walked into camp, yawning and ready to turn in for the night. He had just spent the entire evening training and was looking forward to getting some sleep. Before he could get very far, however, he found himself stumbling over a strange lump lying in the middle of the clearing.
"What the..." Hawlucha muttered to himself, shaking his head. "When did that get here?"
Upon closer inspection, he realized that the lump he'd tripped over was actually Froakie, his rival and best friend. Well, perhaps that wasn't the best term to describe their relationship, since Froakie didn't really care for him. Still, that didn't stop Hawlucha from loving the little Bubble Frog Pokemon.
Froakie let out a soft snore, quickly reminding Hawlucha of the current issue at hand. He wasn't entirely sure how his teammate had managed to fall asleep right in the middle of the clearing, but it wasn't as though he could ask him now. Gingerly, so as not to disturb him, Hawlucha lifted Froakie into his arms and carried him inside Ash's tent. Once they were inside, he placed the little frog down at the foot of Ash's sleeping bag, making sure he was comfortable.
Hawlucha was just about to turn around and move over to the other side of the tent when he heard Froakie whisper, "Stay."
