"Oh my god!" I gasped out in a breathy whisper. Moxley didn't even seem to care I was in the room to see this. I blinked up to Moxley's mask, no way of telling if he was being serious right now. This was a first even by Moxley's standards. "How did I get here?" Ryan asked in a defeated tone. He couldn't take his eyes off the gun, not even to look up at the man holding it. "Come here Rachel" I shook my head no frantically, not wanting to be blamed for this even though it was my fault. "I said fucking come here!" He roared at me. I flinched with his booming distorted voice, quickly stepping towards him and into Ryan's line of site. I couldn't even look down at him, his gasp was enough to show his shock to know I had everything to do with this. The guilt over took me and collateral damage wasn't even an excuse I could use in my own mind anymore. "I'm sure you know who I am..." Moxley stated, placing his hand on my shoulder as I looked down with shame. I didn't know where else to put my eyes. "Now now...come on Ryan! You're smarter than this! Take a guess!" Moxley insisted after Ryan's silence. "I don't know..." He mumbled out, his voice shaky showing his fear. "The man you have been helping likes to copy my work...does that clue not make it any clearer for you?". "Moxley..." Ryan told him with anger. He knew what position he was in now and he wasn't happy about it. "Bingo! We have a winner!" Moxley released his hand from me, pushing me down onto the sofa and stepping to grab his knife which he then held out in front of my face. I blinked up at him confused. When he held the knife a moment longer in front of me I hesitantly reached and took it from him, holding it in my lap as I silently watched the scene before me. Ryan looked at me furious. If it wasn't obvious before he knew now I had drugged him. He was aware my name was Rachel and not Katy. The anger he held towards me was more than wishing death on my head. He obviously wanted to make me suffer. I couldn't blame him for feeling that way.
"I'm not one for playing games Ryan. Now...who is the copy cat? I want his name and anything else you know..." "I don't know anything!" Ryan cut Moxley off with a low gritted voice. I looked up to Moxley, certain he was smirking darkly behind that mask right about now. "Yes you do Ryan. Do you know how I know?" Ryan kept silent, his eyes stuck to Moxley when he wasn't glancing back to me. "I know because every time someone is killed by him, your number pops up on the victims call lists". Ryan raised an eyebrow to Moxley's suggestion. Everything about Ryan's face said Moxley had hit the jack pot. "So what?! That doesn't mean anything!" He snapped back defensively. Moxley crouched down, allowing his eye level to match Ryan as he held the gun carelessly pointed at the floor. "It means everything and you fucking know it! Do you really want to die to protect him? Does he really mean that much to you?" Ryan squinted as he looked down in thought. I watched them both silently. The stress within Ryan showed he didn't want that at all. "If I tell you...he will kill me and my whole family...". "If you don't tell me I will kill you and your whole family. I would be killing your friends and business links also. I will do the most damage so take your pick!". Ryan looked to me panicked, his eyes now begging me for help. I knew he could see I felt bad for him. I knew in the back of my thoughts that either way Ryan was dead. Moxley still planned to kill him after he got what answers he needed. Ryan was a dead man on borrowed time and the sand timer of fate was about to run out. Ryan suddenly broke, his eyes backed down into his lap. I dare say he may have even let out a light sob but it was hard to know. He was gritting his teeth with a look of despair. "OK!" Ryan suddenly spat after a brief moment. Ryan raised his eyes to me then to Moxley, a look of despair turning into anguish. I held my breath, waiting for who would speak next. The thick atmosphere was enough to suffocate on.
"He only ever contacts me through phone call or text. I've never seen him in person..." Moxley stayed where he was, silently waiting for Ryan to finish. He was calm but the way his fingers twitched at just those few words told me he was ready to lose it. He wanted more than that. Just a way of contact wasn't enough. "...He tells me to contact someone I have never met before. The conversation is normally short and random. I keep them on the phone just long enough to track their where abouts then Bray goes after them..." "Bray? Is that his name?" Moxley cut Ryan off suddenly. Ryan looked to me panicked. He knew he had said more than he should have already but name dropping wasn't his original plan. "I don't know if it's his real name! It's just how I was told to address him!" Ryan rushed out panicked. Even I could see he was lying. He knew this guy and possibly more. I stood to my feet feeling tense he would even dare to lie to Moxley. Not thinking about the situation I stood beside both men with an annoyed expression. "You're lying!" I told him matter a factly. Ryan's face looked at me shocked. He obviously expected me to just sit and be silent. I wasn't going to be silent. Until Moxley got this Bray guy, he wasn't going to stop himself. I would be held and controlled by Moxley until this was over so no, I wasn't going to keep quiet like some lap dog. "Be quiet Rachel!" Moxley snapped, standing to his feet and looking down on me with his masked face. Normally when he would square up like this I would shut up but not this time. "No! He's fucking lying! Don't tell me you fucking believe him! Any idiot can see he knows more!" I glared back at Moxley as he silently looked back down to Ryan. He was actually considering my words. I was a very perceptive person in some situations. The way Ryan panicked and rushed out his words. He planned what he was to say seconds before he blurted his lies out. He was calculated and thinking about everything he told Moxley. His rushed panicked voice was real but at the same time an act.
