sometimes you gotta bleed to know. that you're alive and have a soul.

"'the rain,' tyler says," i read aloud. "'it's crispe-" i'm interrupted by julian running into my room with ruby.

"daddy says your girlfrien's here. 'm out of breath," julian explains. i smile and nod. he's only been here for a week but we already understood that he was smart for his age.

i jump down the stairs, and see robin and tyler by the door.

"robin! i missed you," i run towards her, pulling her in for a kiss.

"woah, woah! little eyes here," tyler chuckles and i laugh.

"happy seven months!" robin says and i smile.

"you remembered?" i hug her, grinning as wide as i can.

she nods and julian puts my cat in my hands.

"woah! echo has tiger stripes!" he says and i look at my arms and sigh.

"yes sir, i do," i smile, blocking out those memories. everyone awkwardly laughs and robin and i go upstairs.

"josh, julian, and i are heading to target! we'll be back in half an hour! jenna is going to keep an eye on you two!" tyler yells up the stairs, and shortly after, the front door shuts.

-

"we have to go on a date," robin says from the other couch. i nod.

"what will we do?"

"it's a surprise, only jenna can know," robin replies, getting jenna's attention from beside her.

robin whispers in jenna's ear and the blondes' smile grows.

"that's amazing. you have to do that," jenna agrees, and i furrow my eyebrows.

"awe," robin cooes, standing up and sitting on my couch, kissing my forehead and cuddling with me. jenna, on the other hand, squeals and takes a picture of us.

she begins to text someone. well okay then.
-

"we're back and uncle joshie let me buy a barbie!" julian runs to us, showing it off. i smile. it looks like me.

"those plastic... gosh darn... things are expensive," josh walked in after julian, grumbling to himself.

tyler skips in with groceries(they don't have target in canada, are there groceries there???) and sets them on the table.

"did you get orange juice?" i look through the bags.

"yes, we got orange juice," tyler laughs, putting the groceries away. i nod and smile before walking to the living room.

a few minutes later, robin comes out, holding a bag full of stuff.

"my... um...mom wants me home, but i'll pick you up tomorrow at six, okay?" she says. i frown, but nod anyways.
