i open my eyes and yawn, seeing i'm on the couch. i look around and see that juniper was gone.

was i just fucking hallucinating?

i sit up, looking around, whimpering a bit. where was sky?

"oh my god, you're awake!" tyler rushes in. i move away from him the second he sits down.

"you're probably disappointed in that too," i glare at him. tears streak his face.

"i-i didn't-"

"save it!" i growl. frown even more, glaring at a teary-eyed josh, julian, and jenna who walk in.

"you're okay!" they exclaim.

"yeah, thanks." i try to stand up but tyler grabs my wrist, making me wince slightly.

"you have to eat. you've fainted."

"fuck off, tyler! you aren't my fucking dad!" i yell, running up the stairs.

"what the hell?!" robin scream-whispers.

"i-i wasn't g-going to jump," i whisper. she slams her locker shut and drags me to the bathrooms.

"so you climb the water tower, climb over the railing, and hang your feet over the edge, but you weren't going to jump." i nod slowly, pulling at my sleeves.

"did you hurt yourself again?" she glances at my arms. i nod, looking away.

"echo," her soft voice says. "i'm not going to make you show me, because i trust you aren't taking this too far but please, you can beat this."

i nod. her fingers intwine with mine as we walk out together.
