Nyx walked silently in the woods, the darkness of the sky making the green vegetation seem like idle bodies, waiting for the right moment to pounce on the unsuspecting- the perfect prey. She had been walking for fifteen minutes now, slowly regretting telling her team to drop her off right by the Institute, for it was now sunset and she was on her way to the cemetery.
By the time she got there, she found herself just in time to see Clary punch Camille right in the face. Nyx had to admit that that was a good punch. She was too far away to hear what Raphael said, but the next thing she knew, the other vampires that were present around Camille, surrounded their so called leader and closed in on her, taking her away. Nyx assumed that Raphael was the new NY vampire clan leader. At least he listened when she told him to deal with Camille before she dragged all of them down with her.
"I see you chose to bring back Simon," Nyx made herself known, calmly walking over to her sister, her blond puppy and the vampire. Their heads snapped towards her, but Clary's eyes didn't meet hers.
"I had to. You didn't see Simon's mom when I went there to tell her that Simon wasn't coming back...I just-I couldn't do that to her, it was too hard. I just... couldn't," Clary broke off, her voice dying down to a cracking whisper.
Nyx scoffed. "Bullsh*t," the older redhead crossed her arms over her chest, rolling her eyes when her sister gave her a look filled with hatred and disgust- no doubt for being so heartless. "It didn't have to be hard, not unless you made it out to be."
"Ooh," Raphael whistled lowly, arching an eyebrow at how cold the redhead was being towards her sister.
"Hey, why don't-" Jace tried to step in to break off the inevitable fight that was to take place between the two Fairchild girls, but he was quickly shot down by the older of the two redheads.
"Stay out of this blondie. You've done enough," Nyx sent a glare towards the boy.
"You know what Phoenyx? " Clary spat out her full name like it was something foul on her lips. "I'm done listening to your opinions and you trying to rule my entire life. I'm an adult now, and I get to make my own decisions and decide what's best for my friends. If you don't approve of me raising Simon from the dead, then fine- it's your choice! But this is mine, so please- and I say this in the most sincerest way- if you don't like my decision then...GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE!," Clary finished off, shouting in a voice contaminated with rage.
It was silent for a moment, the three people around the younger redhead not knowing what to say. Nyx was...impressed; she didn't think she had ever heard her sister speak to her with such anger, let alone shout. Nonetheless, she didn't take Clary's anger to heart, knowing that she was bound to flip her lid at some point.
"Well, all I'm saying is don't wake Simon for yourself, because that would be incredibly selfish of you and completely unfair on his account," she replied after shrugging away with an easy grin, amused by how red her sister's face was growing. "By the way... if Simon wakes up and accidentally killed someone, the blood will be on your hands and that isn't coming off anytime soon- I speak from experience. Oh, and if he hates you after realizing that you turned him into something that he hates, don't come crying to me." With that, Nyx gave all of them a patronizing smirk and turned back, beginning her trek back to the Institute.

"Aren't you supposed to be with Clary?" Isabelle asked Nyx as soon as she saw her enter the building.
"Well, after Clary telling me that my opinions and comments aren't appreciated by her anymore, I figured that I probably shouldn't be with her when she raises Simon from the dead," Nyx grinned at her, shrugging as if her sister being angry and possibly hating her wasn't affecting her in any way. The older girl by two years went towards one of the training mats and dragged a heavy punching bag from one corner and took off her jacket, rolling her shoulders as she got into her tense stance.
"And you're okay with that?" Isabelle asked in slight confusion, not believing that the older girl would just leave her sister to deal with Simon rising alone no matter what she says or how angry she might be at the moment. Even if Jace was there, Clary needed family, and Nyx was her family.
"Why wouldn't I be? I know exactly how everything will play out, it's predictable," Nyx clarified, not bothering with the gloves that Isabelle offered to protect her knuckles. She began landing hard punches towards the sand-filled bag, speaking in-between punches. "Simon will rise, he'll panic, not knowing where he was and what was happening. He'll leave, Raphael will most likely follow him and maybe even lose him at some point, but I'm not really sure. Anyway, Simon will realize that he died and Clary brought him back, hence the reason why he was a vampire. He'll be mad at her and won't want to be near her because of his thirst for her blood and whatnot...Clary will be upset and start crying, like always, and then they will make up like they always do after an argument or a fight."
"...Wow," Isabelle said, shocked at the detailed predictions that Nyx came up with as he knuckles began bruising- predictions that might actually happen. "How do you know that, by the way?"
"Simon practically grew up alongside Clary, and plus I'm a spy, so details are kinda like my thing..." Nyx paused and went over to the bag that she dropped after returning from the mission before leaving to the cemetery. She unzipped the bag, pulling out a white towel and a bottle of water.
"So he's like you're younger brother?"
"I wouldn't go that far... but yeah, sort of."
"Then why do you act so...sensible towards Clary sometimes?"
"Because she needs to know that every action she makes has a consequence- whether it'd be good or bad is depending on what she chooses," Nyx sets her bottle down and looks off to nowhere in particular. "She's been living in this world where everything she does could be made up for- fixable in a sense. She needs someone to be realistic, and heartless, and cold so that she could see that the actions she makes impact someone one way or another. If that person needs to be me, then so be it."
Nyx walks off towards her room, leaving Isabelle alone. The Lightwood girl looks after her, growing a new sense of respect towards the redhead.
