The Enemy of War

The darkness beset inside

As if it was at home

Though the hell I couldn't hide

I tried to play along

Adorned as a black jewel

Decorating to never leave

The fight seemed futile

A battle inside of me

The war I left in the sands

Dusted off the grains

Too weak to stand

Lightning strikes in the brain

I crawled with all my strength

Making my way back

It kept creeping in like a fiend

At every chance it would attack
