Memorial Day

They took an oath, to protect and serve, how could they know, they would return back to the earth

Brave and upright, they marched, ready to fight, til the last beat of their heart

Skilled with arms, skilled to counter-attack, did their part, they weren't slack

Their senses keen, keen eyes, their bodies lean, their out of sight

For America, for you and I, for the flag, those stars and stripes

The enemy on the roadside, never know who it could be, like cowards they hide, then they retreat

Still those brave ones go on, they fight, till their final resting home, all for our rights!
