A Soldiers Epiteph

Now I lay me down

Gently in this grave

For I can be proud

Of the life I gave

The uniform I wore

Better than a suit

Sometimes it was torn

Never wore shiney boots

Some things I have seen

Would make your hair curl

Some places I have been

Would make your nose snurl

A life of luxury

It can not be said

Filled with tragedy

Rests here in this bed
