Chapter 22

Willow's POV:
I was woken up by firm knocks on the front door. Checking my phone, I found out I had only been asleep for 10 minutes. I heard gentle knocks on my door and opened it. Elliot. Saying nothing, he picked me up and hugged me tightly. He embraced me tightly and we shared a long, romantic kiss. His sweet smell of cinnamon and marshmallows filled the room and we hugged.
"Baby, the police are here."
I nodded and he helped me pack up my bags. He carried them downstairs where Eliza and Jeremy were sat, in handcuffs. Passing the provocative outfit to a police officer, I was lead to a police car with Elliot. We arrived back at the adoption centre where I was told to wait in the car.
"You're not staying here. They didn't do the correct background checks," a police officer informed me. They started the car and dropped Elliot off at home.

Time skip (2 hours)

We pulled up outside of a small grey building and got out. I was lead to a small room with 2 beds and 2 sets of drawers.
"Hi," I heard a voice say. Turning around, I spotted a young looking woman in the doorway.
"I'm Mrs Applewood! I own this place. Your room is a double, but you don't have a room mate."
With that, she left to let me unpack. After I had unpacked, I sat on my phone for a while and then went down for dinner when I was called. I ate my lasagna in silence and it was almost like I could feel their eyes burning into me. Knowing everything thought. Running up to my room, I collapsed on my bed and fell asleep shortly later.

I woke up to a loud bell; breakfast. Quickly checking my phone, I noticed I had slept in. Throwing on some clothes, I dragged my brush through my hair and headed downstairs.
"Willow, you have school today," Mrs Applewood told me. Well great. I grunted in reply and went back upstairs, grabbed my bag, and waited for the bus.

Time skip (at school)

First class, art. Well that's good. I walked in and immediately, everyone stared at me.
"Willow," Mr Jefferson said softly. I nodded and sat down in the empty place next to Jessii. She instantly hugged me and we began work. Throughout the lesson, I updated her on everything. The bell rang, and I stood up, ready to leave.
"Willow?" Mr Jefferson called, signalling for me to come over.
"I missed you. Not in a creepy way, but I missed your work and you just being here," he smiled.
"You too, sir" I replied and left for lunch. I was sat with Jessii, when Gabe came up to me.
"Hey. Listen Willow. I miss you baby, come over and we can do things," he smirked.
"No thanks, you ugly t***," I replied.
Elliot walked over and kissed my cheek.
"My new boyfriend. So f*** off," I smiled and he walked off to Ava. We laughed for the rest of lunch before finishing the day. Elliot walked me to the orphanage and stayed over for a while. We watched movies on his laptop for while with a blanket and popcorn that he brought over. Suddenly, he turned the movie off and took my hands in his.
"Baby, this may sound cliche, but I honestly love you so much and I will never let anyone hurt you. You mean the world to me and I will make sure that your life will get better. You deserve so much after how broken your past is," Elliot whispered and pulled me into a long, romantic kiss. He wrapped his arms around my waist and I wrapped my legs around his as he pulled me onto his knee. We pulled away, gasping for air and finished the movie, smiling, with his arms around me. I loved my boyfriend. I was so lucky.
