Chapter 2

Tears streamed down my face, as I held tightly to her hand. Her eyes slowly closed and I knew this was it.
"I love you" she whispered as she laid back on her pillows.
"Please, don't die, not yet please!" I begged.
"I'm sorry, I love you with all my heart," she said weakly as she closed her eyes. Her hand lost its clasp around mine. I gripped the edge of the bed, tears trickling down my neck.

She was dead. It was the most painful moment of my life, and my stepdad didn't care. He already has another girlfriend. I can't believe him. He disgusts me so much. Everyday it feels like my heart shatters even more. I'm sad all the time. It feels like there's a huge grey cloud, looming over my head.
