"mike! come down here!"

mike groaned, stirring in his sleep. he stopped moving once he notice a sudden warmth to his chest. he opened his eyes and saw how his arms were wrapped around eleven, her back to his chest.

a blush crept up his cheeks as he blinked a few times.

"mike!"

afraid that his mother would wake the girl up, he slowly untangled himself from her and made sure she was covered up with the blanket, since it was freezing cold.

mike walked lazily down the stairs. karen was preparing holy's breakfast.

"what do you want?"

"good morning to you too" she looked up.

mike just stared at her. she sighed and looked down.

"today we're picking up a bed for el, so be prepared, we're leaving in a few"

mike's eyes lit up.

"wait what?"

"well, if she's staying, you don't want the girl sleeping on the floor, don't you?"

mike ran up to her and kissed her cheek.

"thank you thank you thank you, mom" he hugged her.

"yeah, okay, okay. now go and tell her the news"

mike started walking out of the kitchen.

"and mike!"

mike looked back at her.

"i'm- i'm sorry" she sighed.

mike grinned and nodded.

"it's gonna be so cool, el. you have so much to do" will said.

"yeah, like trying chocolate pudding!" dustin said.

"or going to the carnival!" lucas said

"or the cinema!"

"ohh, or having your first kiss" lucas winked.

mike's heart stopped. he looked at el, her cheeks were starting to warm up.

"wait wait wait, that face. that face. you've kissed someone before?" max said, sitting onto lucas' lap.

"what? no. i didn't" el shook her head. she fiddled with the end of her shirt.

mike just tried to look away.

"you did!" max gasped.

"okay, enough, just leave her alone" mike said.

"nah -ah, we deserve an explanation" will said.

mike chewed the inside of his cheek and looked at el.

"i kissed her in the cafeteria" he mumbled.

"i'm out" will said, standing up.

dustin gasped.

"wait what? why didn't you tell us?" lucas said.

"isn't it obvious? this isn't a normal reaction!" mike said.

"el! i want to show you something!" nancy shouted.

"coming!"

el gulped, looked at mike and ran up the stairs.

"can't you guys just shut up?"

"why? come on i'm sure you've kissed her another time" dustin said.

"no, i didn't! and if i had, it's none of your business!"

"oh, none of our business? i remind you you've been depressed for four fucking years because of her, and we've been here, trying to help you out. so don't tell me it's not our business man, you're our best friend, we want to know if you're okay" lucas said.
