A couple of weeks later the day had finally come. Kakashi was returning. Raku was dressed in her new, fancy clothes. Her long hair was pulled into a french braid, ending mid back and leaving a few strands on either side of her face. She was , quite literally, bouncing with excitement as she and Neji awaited the return of Kakashi at the main gate.
Neji blushed a bit as he couldn’t help but notice her bosom jump around with her. “Maybe you shouldn’t do that.” The white haired young woman frowned for a moment but did stop.
Suddenly, Neji’s head snapped over to the road. “There.”  Raku bolted down the road and jumped into Kakashi’s arms.
He held her and smiled. “Nice to see you too.”
Neji stared, emotionless on the outside but a tiny bit of jealousy was hiding just beneath his mask.
That night, in the Hitake household, Raku smiled as her surges began. She and Kakashi sat on the bed, looking out the open window. “Are you sure about this?” he asked as he watched her eyes flicker yellow. The vibrations in the air were starting to ruffle his hair, ever so slightly.
“I am positive. Neji and I worked at it and I want to show you what I can do.”
Kakashi nodded and watched as her yellow chakra became fully visible and buzzed around in the air. He could feel the tension in the air as her hair stood up a little. She took a deep breath and opened her now fully luminous eyes.
“You learned how to control it? That’s fantastic, Raku.”
She smiled. “There’s more.  Follow me!” she began to climb out the window.
“A-are you sure?” the jonin hesitated.
“Hurry up or I’ll leave you behind!” she giggled, now standing on the roof.

The next evening, Kakashi was still amazed at how much she’d changed since brought to the village. She had told himerything she’d learned and explained why her personality was so lively and confident at night. He couldn’t believe the power of her yellow chakra…it was astonishing. The fact that she could replicate kekki-genki was unheard of.
They sat on the couch and he watched her draw, but soon she set her notebook down. She dropped her chin and grasped her own hands.
“Kakashi?”
“Hn?”
“I’d…like to tell you some of my past. I’m sure you’ve been wondering for a while now and…I’m ready to talk about it.”
Kakashi gave a sincere look and his full attention.
“My life has never really been normal, much less easy.” She began, telling him about how she had traveled across the land, and settled near the village hidden in the sand. She slid through their defenses daily in search of clean water and shelter. She learned how to swim after being caught stealing and thrown into a river at age eleven.

“You want the food, don’t you?” Impatiently asked a ten year old boy, looking round from their hiding spot in the bushes at his family estate.
“Y-yes.” Eight  year old, Raku blushed as she visibly shook with fear, eyeing the basket of stale bread and half rotted fruit, accompanied by bottles of clean water.
“Then hurry up and show me before we’re seen.” He growled.
Her hands shook as she lifted her flour sack dress over her head and tossed it to the dirt, her rag panties following.

“You can spend the night in the barn as long as you’re gone by sunrise. That is my promise. Nothing more. And if the guards see you, you are only a street rat trespassing on our property. Got it?” Twelve year old Raku nodded.
“Good. Now get to it!” the boy shoved her to her knees, rocks dug into her thin, tender flesh as she shakily took her hands to his belt.
The boy wound up tipping the guards that he saw a strange girl in the barn, she was beaten and thrown out.

“Food dosen’t come cheap, you know my price.” A seventeen year old boy with short, dark hair smirked down at tiny, fourteen year old Raku. “P-please…not this time. C-can I just kiss you?”  She begged. He glared and slapped her, sending her to the ground, kicking up some garbage that had been left in the ally. “That isn’t enough anymore and you know it! You know my price, So do you want it, or should I go feed it to the fish?” he held out a small sack with fruit, only slightly stale bread and almost clean water. Raku closed her eyes in shame and submissively  rolled onto her back. “Atta girl.” She began to cry as the boy crawled on top of her.

Back to the story

Kakashi had actually begun to tear up as he listened. “I have countless stories…but that’s all I wish to speak of tonight.” Her voice sounded as empty as it had when she first arrived.
“…Raku…”
“Please, “ she cut him off. “Let me finish.”
He waited.
“I told you all of this because I have grown to trust you with my life. I don’t doubt your intentions and you mean so much to me. The life I have now…friends…people I can count on. I’m so grateful to you, more than I could ever hope to express.” She turned to face him and looked up with her pale eyes to meet his dark ones.
“I know this may sound weird and I understand if you say no but…” her eyes dropped a little. “I’ve had so much taken from me.” Her voice cracked on the last word. “So much I can never get back. Supposedly precious experiences stained with pain and shame.” she played with her fingers the way Hinata ‘sometimes did when she was shy and nervous.
“I was hoping…I…I wanted to ask…” her cheeks flushed.
“Raku, you can ask me anything.” He reassured her.
She took a deep breath and nodded. “I was wondering if…you’d be my first…willing kiss.”

I know it has been a long time but I'm back. My laptop died and I had a much better ending all written out but I can't get it back. So, I know this chapter is very rushed but I have ideas for a sequel so I'm going to wrap this one up in the next chapter.
