Raku sat on the floor, chained in the glass cage though only by one wrist. She made herself into a ball as she felt the power flicker inside of her. Kakashi sat next to her and put an arm around her. "You won't hurt me, Raku. I know you won't." He assured her, feeling the air around her pulse each time her eyes would glow.

She chewed on her lower lip, heart racing. The scientists watched her heart monitor speed up, and up. The head specialist nodded to Kakashi who knew that meant he had to comfort her more to ensure his safety. He did have faith in her, and a lot of it. But...he didn't want to die.

He thought about how she clung to him at all sides and decided that physical contact was the best way to go. He scooted behind her and sat criss-cross, easily lifting her into his lap and lightly pushing her head to rest on his chest. He wrapped one arm around her and with the other he softly stroked her hair.

"Listen to my heart, Raku." He urged gently, taking a deep breath to steady it. The air felt like static, and Kakashi knew it was happening. She started to levitate out of his lap, but he only held tighter.

"Shhh." He rested his head on hers, it was difficult because the chakra around them seemed to want to push him away.

The yellow whirs of chakra flew in all directions, slicing through the air in sharp but random strokes. Kakashi gasped, one sliced his arm a little.

At his gasp, Raku's heart sped up again. "S....sorry...I....cant..." her voice sounded hollow, a little chakra came from her mouth and pushed up her bangs revealing three narrow triangles on her forehead. They were solid black against her snow white skin. The point of each of them pointed down and they were positioned in a triangle shape themselves.

"It's alright Raku. I am not hurt, and you're doing a great job. Just focus on me; my breathing, my heart, how my chest rises and falls with each breath, the warmth of my body. Relax, you are doing great." He spoke softly as if she would shatter if he were too loud.

She sighed and put her ear to his chest once more. Her senses were enhanced with all the chakra around her. She became very aware of his body, everything about it. She could feel the difference in his bones where they healed, she could feel that he was hungry, that his skin was a bit chilly.

In her mind, there was a diagram of him. She could see through it and see his bones. A red spot appeared on his upper arm, where her chakra had hurt him. She could feel his minor pain.

No matter how minor, she did not want her protector to feel any pain.

Throughout her sensing of his body, her chakra had calmed down a bit and was now pulling Kakashi snug against her. It cradled him like a precious gift, outlining his form perfectly with a light glow. His eyes slid over to his arm as he felt a little pressure there seeing the yellow glow concentrate there for just a moment before gliding down his arm again to merge back in with the rest.

The pain was gone. His cut was healed as if it had never happened.

Feeling her chakra move almost on its own scared her, she pressed herself closer and focused on listening to his heart. It seemed to be slow motion as her senses went from his heart to follow the blood in his veins, she became very aware of his general health. No infections, no bruising, no abnormalities.

She zoomed out, focusing only on sound.

Ba-dum.....ba-dum.....ba-dum.....

The sound of his life soothed her, causing her to release a small sigh. The chakra receded further to only buzz lightly around her body. Kakashi began to rub her back and even went so far as to kiss her head. "shhh." He cooed.

He felt her body relax more until...

She began to snore.

The wild chakra receded back into her body, the only implication that she was still surging were the vibrations in the air.

The next morning she woke up and blushed to find herself still curled in his lap, nuzzled up to his chin. He had fallen asleep resting his head on hers, still holding her. She tried not to move so as to not wake him but as soon as she took her first conscious breath, his eyes opened.

"I'm so proud of you, Raku." She gasped in surprise when he spoke, she had not realized he was awake. "I knew you wouldn't hurt me."

Her eyes widened as she realized she hadn't cracked the floor, the chain wasn't stressed and he was unscathed.

She smiled, then climbed out of his lap. As they stood, someone came to unlock her cuff. She flinched back a little, leaning against Kakashi's chest. The key-barer took the hint to stop and wait.

"It's okay, he's just going to unlock your chains." Kakashi tried to sooth her but it didn't work. She frantically shook her head. She did not know this man. Until that day the Hokage had unlocked her. The man set the key on the floor and lightly kicked them so they slid over. Kakashi unlocked the chain himself and tossed the man the key. Raku didn't move until the man left the glass room.

They stood, and Kakashi straightened his clothes. They made their way out of the room and went up to the hospital room Raku usually spent her mornings in. Her breakfast of oatmeal and banana's with a protein drink was waiting. Kakashi sat with her as she ate in silence then she slowly made her way to the ajoining bathroom. While she was in there, another jonin entered the hospital room to speak to Kakashi.

"Lord Hokage has requested you come see him."

"Of course." Kakashi stood and made a shadow clone to take his place. Raku would not know the difference. They left the room, clone sitting in Kakashi's chair, as the girl looked at her body for the first time in possibly months. Her nude body was nearly free from bruises, she still lacked mustle but had enough to move around decently. Her waist was beginning to expand a bit so that she was beginning to get the curves she had been too thin to have before. Her breasts were filling out and were currently around a B cup.

She smiled.

She looked almost healthy. Almost normal.

Raku started the shower.
