When she came back into the hospital room, dressed and ready, the Kakashi clone smiled at her. "Ready to start the day?"

She nodded, coming a bit closer. The clone stood. "What shall we do today?"

Raku frowned. Something wasn't right.

Warily she said she would like to paint in her hospital room for a while. She didn't trust whatever wasn't right about Kakashi, and refused to go anywhere with it.

The clone made pleasant conversation, acting nearly every bit like the real Kakashi. But it didn't fool Raku. Now that her chakra had become familiar with his body, she was slightly aware of a few abnormalities. For an hour she kept her distance, eyeing the knife that had been left out for her to cut her bananas just in case. She painted a portrait of Kakashi from memory. The real one. He was doing the easygoing, close eyed smile and shyly touching the back of his head.

After all, he was all she knew. And that was how she pictured him. Happy. Safe.

"I'm going to go take this to the staff. Okay?" the clone picked up her bowl and such.

She nodded. He walked out and planed them on the cart by the door then poofed away in smoke. The real Kakashi entered the room. Raku glanced at him and knew at once whatever was wrong, was gone.

She smiled, he gave a confused look.

"You're back." She explained.

He raise his eye brows. How could she have known?

"Something was off about the other one, I didn't trust it. Don't do that to me again, please." She frowned.

"I had to go talk to the hokage, and I have good news." She tilted her head.

"He is impressed with the control you have when I'm with you. He trusts you to live in the village now and the monitering is finished."

Her eyes grew wide.

"The condition is that I am to accompany you everywhere, and you must live with me. Is that alright?"

She nodded, copying his close eyed smile. He gave an amused chuckle before being serious again.

"And you're alright with sleeping in my bed with me?"

She hesitated, but knew she couldn't keep control if she were alone. She nodded. She trusted Kakashi 100%.

Okay, 99%.

"Then it's settled! We'll have to get you some new things and we can have your current possessions brought to my home at once."

Later that night, Raku slipped into her first night gown. It was pale purple with a scoop neck and short sleeves rimmed with white lace. It fell just above her knee, also rimmed with white lace.

She slowly entered Kakashi's room, feeling her surges begin to creep. She saw him laying in the rather large bed with his mask still on wearing a tank top. Not that she could see it but he was also wearing sweatpants.

His headband sat on the table beside the bed.

Kakashi sat up and smiled at her, seeing her eyes flash yellow every few seconds. She ran over to him and accidently pinned him under her getting close to his face. He didn't protest but he was confused.

"You were hurt." She innocently touched the scar across his eye, then noticed the sharingan it always had.

"Yes. But that was a long time ago and I don't wish to talk about it."

She frowned but nodded, dropping her hand and climbing off him to sit beside him. Her stomach fluttered a little, she was in bed with a man. Neither of them had any intention that wasn't plutonic but technically, she was in bed with a man. She blushed a little as she slid under the black silk covers. The air felt electric as her pulses came more and more often. She turned toward her shinobi and let him slide closer and cradle her in his arms, holding her softly but firmly against him. Her head rested on his chest and she focused on feeling his chest rise and fall with each breath, then as her surge was in full swing she could feel each beat of his heart. One side...then the other.

For a while she lay awake, enjoying the protective touch he had. She had never been a fighter, never been held, never been cared for so much. It made her so happy to feel important to someone, even if she was just an assignment. She felt her power flickering strongly, fluttering around her body then extending to coddle Kakashi's body as if to protect him.

Raku loved feeling safe and protected, but if she had to, she would protect Kakashi until her last breath. An and odd way, she loved him.

A week had passed and everything was going perfectly. Raku would walk the town with Kakashi, paint or draw flowers or portraits, help make the daily meals then Kakashi would hold her at night to keep her untamed power at bay. Raku was happy.

But one day....

Cliff hanger!

Remember, if you want me to update, answer the questions I ask at the end of the chapter and vote!

Q1)  What do you think will happen on that day?

Q2) Do you think she will see Kakashi as a father figure, or something more? Maybe one and then the other?  How does she love him in an "odd" way?

Thanks for reading!
