I wake up early on Thanksgiving to make green bean casserole for dinner. I figure it's best to wake up early so that Liam won't be in my hair. I head into the kitchen with my phone in my hand. I place my phone on the counter before starting to search the cabinets for the ingredients I need. I'm in the middle of opening the second can of green beans when my phone vibrates and Josh's name flashes on the screen. A smile pulls at my lips as I grab the phone and answer it. "Morning" I greet my boyfriend brightly.

"Happy Thanksgiving sweetheart" he says sweetly. "I'm surprised you're up already" he teases causing me to roll my eyes playfully.

"Why do you think I sleep in all the time? I have a son" I remind him.

"Is that who that five year old is" he asks playfully making me chuckle. "I thought that was just a kid who liked following you around. But really why are you up so early? I was just calling to leave you a message. I didn't want to interrupt your holiday."

"Interrupt?" I ask confused. "Babe how would you be interrupting?"

"I don't know" he sighs. "I just know that you're spending time with your family today. Or more specifically your in laws" he says softly. "I just don't want to get in the way of that or make you tell them before you're ready."

A soft smile pulls at my lips, "thank you" I reply genuinely. "But" I gnaw my bottom lip, "I think I'm gonna tell Diana. Mia already knows and Kyle suspects" I explain. "Is that okay?" I ask worriedly, hoping that he isn't suddenly getting cold feet.

"Babe is you're ready to tell your family that you're dating then I support you one hundred percent. I love you" he says sweetly making a smile pull at my lips.

"Thanks babe" I reply happily. "I love you too" I smile before my phone starts beeping letting on that I have a call on the other line. I move my phone away from my ear and look down at the screen where I see Mia's name flashing on the screen. I sigh. At this rate I wasn't ever going to get this casserole made. "Um babe I have Mia on the other line. Can I call you back later?" I ask hopefully.

"Of course" he replies sweetly. "I do have my own holiday to prepare for" he adds. "I'll talk to you later sweetheart."

"Bye babe" I reply before switching the call over to Mia. "Hey sis" I greet her brightly. "What's up?" I ask curiously.

"What are you bringing?" she asks in a rushed tone. I could perfectly picture her scrambling around the kitchen with Diana making sure that everything is set in order to have dinner at five o'clock sharp.

"Green bean casserole" I reply. "Everything okay?" I ask playfully causing her to sigh.

"I hate Thanksgiving" she says making me chuckle. "When are you and the kid gonna get here?" she asks while I turn to look at the clock I have in the kitchen. It reads back nine o'clock and I laugh.

"Um not for a while Mia" I reply with a chuckle. "It's only nine in the morning" I chuckle. "The parade isn't even starting for another hour on TV."

"But I need extra hands" she exclaims. "And I miss that kiddo of yours. I feel I haven't seen him in forever."

"Mia I promise that we'll be there in a few hours. I have to cook the casserole, I'm going to let Liam enjoy the parade and then I need to shower and get him ready before we can even think of leaving. But I promise we will be there and we will be on time."

"Fine" she grumbles before dropping her voice to a whisper. "Are you bringing your man?" she asks hopefully making me roll my eyes.

"I already told you that I'm not" I reply unamused. "And could you not talk about him when I know your mother is within earshot. The last thing I want is for her to find out I'm dating again from you instead of me. That would be totally disrespectful to not only her but to Dean. Please let me do it" I beg.
