Chapter 14- Look Who It Is...

???: Hey Bianca.

Me: Who are you?

???: It's me, Devin.

Me: Devin?

You've got to be kidding me. I couldn't even recognize him. He sure has changed. I used to be taller than him. Now he's taller than me. He has more muscle in his arm. Not big "guns" or anything but... He just seemed different.

Me: You've changed.

Devin: I can say the same about you. (smirks)

Me: Mmm..

He was checking me out. I could feel his eyes looking over me. (Eww!) Ugh.. guys...  I had gotten those "looks" alot today. From Drake in the morning (which was okay cause I mean we are together, still awkward but okay), other guys throughout the day, and Isabel. Well hers was more like a disgusted, "your not as pretty as you think" look. But... its fiiiiiiiiiiine.

Me: (trying to change subject) So...

Devin: (no response: still looking at Bianca)

Me: (clear throat) So you have been writing those notes?

Devin: (sits on bottom steps; patting hand for Bianca to sit) Yeah. 

Me: (sitting FAR across from him, on same step) Why?

Devin: Cause when I saw you at the library the other day... It brought back old memories... Ya know?

Me: Yeah... (under breath) Old crappy memories.

Devin: (clear throat) So how've ya been?

Me: Fine.

Devin: Same here.

I just remembered I should talk about Kayla.

Me: So what happened to Kayla?

Devin: Kayla?? Ohh, Kayla.

Me: Well? What happened?

Devin: We went out for a while.

Me: 3 months is more than a while.

Devin: 3 months?? Where da heck you hear that?

Me: Kayla.

Devin: We barely gone out for 3 days, it did seem like forever though. (Ouch!)

Me: Wow...

Wow, so she just lied to my face. That's why I had a hard time believing they were together for 3 months.

Me: She was like crying the other day, during study hall.

Devin:  Did she say Why?

Me: Y'all broke up, duh!

Devin: No we didn't. Didn't you see us at the library the other day?

Well, I didn't know it was him so...

Me: (lying) Yeah. So what happened?

Devin: During study hall, I just told her that if she didn't shut up while I was studying, I was gonna break up with her.

Me: Why would you do that? You know how sensitive she is.

Devin: Well now I do.

So clueless...

Me: You guys are back together then?

Devin: We haven't broken up yet but sure. 

Me: Yet?
