As you know, yesterday was bad. Well at first it was good, then bad.
My attitude for today was, "I hope its better than yesterday."
I woke up nice and early. Too early, 6 am! But I was fine with that. I slept a lot yesterday. No one else was up at my house. My dad should be waking up soon though. Off to work he would go.
The sun shone right on my face but not in an annoying way. I still had my iPod in my ears. I just noticed, It was playing one of my fav songs from one of my favorite, childhood movies "Annie". The song was "(The Sun'll Come Out )Tomorrow" (I posted it on the side :) ) It was also remake done by Disney. I didn't like the original for some reason. I'm weird like that.... Then I looked around and saw my small stash/bag of chocolates around me. I saw 2 wrappers next to me. I only ate 1... I bet my mom came and ate one while she checked on me. She does things like that. Anyway...
I stood up. My leg was doing alright. Soon enough I will be able to take off this cast/ bandage thing. I was able to walk to my mirror. I looked in the mirror. My eye's swelling had gone down. I was feeling so much better.
I opened the window. The air was nice and fresh. Today was starting off great!
----------------------------------------------------------------
When it was almost 7 a.m. so I went downstairs.
Me: Good Morning, Mom.
I could tell she was barely awake and was shocked I was up around this time. She was brewing her coffee and getting out some cereal for me to eat.
Mom: (rubbing her eyes) Wow... I mean good morning to you too, hon'
Then I did what I really came to do.
Me: I also want to say, I'm sorry for being so cross yesterday.
Mom: Oh, apology accepted. But don't worry about it, you had a bad day and your getting older, hormones are... (interrupted)
Me: (really loud) OK! No need to explain, Mom. I have to go get ready anyway.
I left before she said anything else. I went to my room and I had lots of time to figure out what to wear. I was in a really "smiley" mood as I went. Choosing what to wear was a difficult decision. I wore my sweatpants that were a bit longer than capri-length. I couldn't decide on the top. It was between a gray, light-sweater with a rainbow in the corner and 'smile' in rainbow colors across the top. My other choice was a graphic tee that said "Cupcakes make me smile". It also had a cute smiling cupcake on the side.
After sometime I ended up chosing the rainbow/gray sweater thing. I wore it with my feather earings with it too. I looked pretty awesome.
After I changed and combed out my hair, I decided to go down for breakfast. I went down the stairs and to the kitchen. I grabbed my Cinnamon Toast Crunch. I needed something sweet to fit the mood. As I poured my milk , my mom asked me an interesting question.
Mom: Did you ever meet the other new neighbors? You know with the kid you age...
Me: Uhh, yeah. He seems nice.
Haha, "seems nice". I laughed at myself in my head. I didn't want to tell her too much obviously. It's only a limited amount of what she needs to know. This also reminded me that I should also apologize to Drake for being rude to him.... As I was thinking about this stuff, I slowly started to grin. I hope she doesn't notice.
Mom: You okay, honey?
Me: (still a-grinning) Yeah.
I slurped down the left-over sweet, cinnamony milk in my bowl to avoid further questions. Then I grabbed my stuff and went out the door.
