"My head hurts," Bex mumbled when she finally awakened.
I rushed over sitting on the side of her bed, relief flooded me as she looked at me with dazed and confused eyes," Oh thank God your okay." I said pulling her towards me in to a hug.
When I pulled back she looked confused,"Why are we back home? And what happened?" She looked around again and began to throw back the covers and get out of bed.
"Woah there, maybe you should take it easy, the doctor said you might have a concussion."
Bex leaned back collapsing into her mountain of pillows just as Maria came in with a tray of tea.
"Where's Dad?" Bex asked sipping the steamy liquid.
I nodded towards Maria as she left again,"He's at work he still hasn't arrived yet," I explained just as the door burst open revealing an exasperated looking Vic followed closely behind by Blake.
"Good God," Vic exclaimed rushing over and embracing Bex and I and showering us with kisses.
"Thank goodness you two are all right."
"My head still hurts," Bex said softly as her brother held her.
"I hope the police find those bastards who did this."
A cough came from behind and we all turned to see Blake straightening out his suit,"Actually the police are hear and wish to speak to Aylin and Bex."

"So you say you two were attacked by who?" Detective Basso asked looking abrehensive towards me as he scribbled down some more in his notepad.
"After Bex was dragged around the corner I ran to help, but was also attacked as I was struggling against them I saw a figure swoop down wearing a purple mask. Then I was thrown down and fell unconscious." I explained once again more clearly.
"This masked hero just swooped down huh? And Ms. Bex do you have any memory of this?" Basso asked clearly not believing what I had said.
I looked over at Bex, who stared at me in return before gathering her attention towards Detective Basso,"I can't remember, I think I was already unconscious."
Basso nodded and began to gather his stuff,"Very well I'll be in touch."
"I'll lead you out," Vic said raising to his feet and gesturing for Basso to follow him.
Blake coughed again awkwardly as Bex and I sat next to each other.
"Do you really not remember Bex?" Blake asked leaning forward, crossing his hands between his legs.
"If I did I would have told him." Bex snapped before quickly rising to her feet and returning to her room.
It was only us now and as we stared at each other from across the room I felt like the island was still in-between us.
"I guess this means lunch is canceled huh?" He said finally breaking the silence.
I gave a soft smile and shook my head."Perhaps we can take a raincheck fortomorrow?" I insisted.
Blake smiled and nodded raising to his feet,"I'll like that in deed," he leaned over kissing me softly on the forehead.
Then he was gone and once again I was alone.

I liked the night, back on the island it was the only thing that kept me sane, being in the darkness I learned to not fear and how to blend into the shadows. It's what helped me become so stealthy.
