Hey guys! So, I got some feedback from both Wattpad, Fanfiction.net, and Twitter (also if you don't follow me on Twitter you should @chicagopdbabes1 , I do polls so you guys can decide what happens!) and decided next week's chapter will be the retreat! This chapter is mostly about Erin and her confidence. This week is also Homecoming week, so it's been busy! Hope you like it.

"Erin, how have you been? It's been two weeks." Dr. Gorelik smiled, handing Erin the clipboard to fill out.

Erin took the clipboard, filling out the dashed lines as usual. "It's been great! I got cleared for work, so this is my first week back." Erin was relieved to be back to work. They had just wrapped up a gambling case, and Erin had no troubles.

Dr. Gorelik made notes on his laptop, counting the dashes. "Good, I'm glad. How is the work environment? Is anyone treating you differently?"

Erin shrugged her shoulders. "Some people. Hank is, a lot. He made me ride with him the first and second day back on the job, and constantly asks me if I'm okay. But he let me ride with Jay yesterday, so that's good. We just finished up a case, and I had no troubles." Erin lied. She only had one trouble: the last time she walked into that district, she and Jay had been "married" and Erin felt weird not having a ring on.

Dr. Gorelik could see right through Erin. "What's bothering you?"

"The last time I walked into the district, Jay and I were married. And now we aren't it sucks because I loved that ring." Erin knew she sounded so stupid. But she didn't care. She had to explain things.

Dr. Gorelik nodded his head, chuckling a little bit. "Erin, you do realize that's probably not the last time you'll wear it. You'll probably have it on within the next year. Jay, he really cares for you."

Erin sighed. She didn't want to wait. She wanted it to be now. She didn't want the chance to have Jay walk out of her life. "I suppose."

"How is everything going with Jay? You guys moved in together last week, right?"

"It's going great. It doesn't seem weird either, just a huge weight lifted off of us. Before we were involved, if there was a hard case, or a long night at Molly's, we would always crash with one another, watch Friends, eat popcorn, and Jay would always make his sweet tea. It was great. We'd sleep on the couch, and sometimes Jay would carry me to my room, or other nights we'd wake up in the morning and go to work in the same clothes, and would claim we had ended up at some random person's house." Erin continued. "Hank wouldn't approve."

Dr. Gorelik just nodded, typing for a minute. "Have you ever had any close calls? With Hank?"

Erin laughed. "Yes, once. That was such a good night."

"Jay, do you think the little girl will be scarred for life?" Erin asked, resting her head on Jay's chest.

The case today had been hard, for Erin in particular. A young girl had been assaulted at the age of seven, and the unit was put in charge of the case. Erin had went with Jay to check out a location and she went in alone while Jay checked the outside. The suspect had seen Erin and hit her in the stomach with a crowbar. She dropped to the floor and got dragged into a closet and the gun man locked the door, where nobody could hear her.

Jay had eventually captured the suspect, and Antonio got the girl outside then he went looking for Erin and her coughing when he walked by the closet. Erin walked out of the house with a nasty bruise, so here she and Jay were, eight hours later, on her couch, watching Friends.

"Erin, we found her and she will get the help she needs. We could even check on her tomorrow at the hospital if you want. We have tomorrow off." Jay began running his hands up and down her back, caressing her head, streaming his hands through her hair.
