my best friend ~t.h.~

Part 1

"Oh my god!" I screamed as I ran into someone as I was jogging.
I looked down to see Harrison on the ground.
"Haz I'm so sorry I wasn't looking!" I said as I help him up.
"It's all good Cass" he said laughing.
"Where are you off to?"
"I'm just going for a morning jog as usual, I need to clear my head of some things" I said taking my earbuds out.
"Oh okay, I'll catch up with you later" He said walking back into his house.
That was Harrison. I've know him since we were kids, probably around 7 years old we first met. Along with his best friend Tom. Who was also my best friend but, ya know.
He's got a girlfriend and their two months strong even though it's pretty obvious I like him. I've never had a real boyfriend before and I'm almost 18. I've never had a first kiss or anything. I'm sort of anti-social, but not like the weird people. I just don't like most people and I only care about my friends and family. But on the other hand, Toms girlfriend is such a drama queen, so Haz and I usually keep our distance when she's with us.
I was only a few houses down from Harrison so I ran back to my house after I fell on him..
Tom lived right next door with his 3 younger brothers and his dog.
All of our family's are very close as well, so my little brother is with Paddy all the time, and my younger sister is dating Sam, one of the twins.
"I'm back!" I yelled as I walked inside.
"Cass you're back!" Nathan yelled.
"Hey bud" I said picking him up.
Paddy came running behind.
"Hi Cassidy" he said.
"Hey Paddy how are you?" I asked he smiled and ran back into the playroom with Nathan.
"Hey I'm going out for a bit can you keep an eye on the boys?" My mum said as she was grabbing her purse and keys. She ran out the door before I could even speak.
Mum does that a lot. She's not home very often and I usually end up being the guardian in the house.
I went to my room and took a shower, then got dressed. I opened the blinds to my window and looked outside. I saw tom with his girlfriend Jenna in his room. I didn't want to eaves drop so I quickly closed the blinds. I really do have feelings for him but it means nothing anymore. I just wish that I had made a move a long long time ago.
