Falling Down (Levi and Mikasa)

Chapter Nine

Erwin faces all the cadets as they waited for his speech. Levi stood right next to him, he scanned the group looking mikasa and finally his eyes land on her. She was already looking at him. She gave him a small smile as eren looks back and forth between the two. He was feeling pretty confused about them. He figures he'll have to ask his friend about it later.

Erwin starts his announcement, as everyone quiets down, "in three days we will go on our 58th expedition. So train hard the next few days. Be ready. We will be riding for awhile," and that was that as everybody scattered.

Mikasa glanced back to Levi, his face was emtionless exceot for the fact he looked tense. His eyes hardened. He leaves with erwin.

Levi and Hange follow Erwin to his office.

"Whats the goal here?" Levi asks.

"Theres been stories of an odd group of titans hanging around the wall. They leave at night to somewhere. Its said humans have been seen around them, which coukd be titan shifters and theres a titan who looks like an ape. This expedition will be more of just sneaking around for any answers or clues about them. If possible, we wont go into combat with them," Erwin explains.

"How many do you think is in the group?" Hange asks.

"No idea."

"Tch, it could be a trap. The titans are acting different now."

"Yes."

All Levi could think about was Mikasa. He had to make sure to not leave her side.

"Ill be needing you to leave your squad Levi," its like Erwin read his mind and destroyed his thoughts. He wanted to tell him no but, no words end up coming out.

Hange giggles, a slight blush on her cheeks, "oh my, you look mad Levi."

"Shut it, shitty glasses."

"Whats going on Levi?"

"Tch, nothing. I got paperwork to do," and he starts to leave out the door.

Hange giggles again, "with mikasa?"

He whips around to face her.

"You two have been spending a lot of time together. Its cute."

"Cute?" He growls.

"I hear you even went to her room last night," its like she completely forgot Erwin was there but, damned sasha. He wonders how far the news has gone.

"Wait, hold it. Are you saying Levi, our Levi is with a girl?" Erwin interrupts.

"Shitty glasses...." levi starts, "and is it that hard to believe?" he glares at the commander.

"You've never showed interest for that kind of stuff," he points out which was true.

Hange gets all sorts of excited about the topic, "have you kissed? What all have you done?"

"No, we've just held hands," he admits.

"Why are you taking so long?" She says impatiently.

"Its only been a day since i found out about her feelings."

"You couldve done something before hand. How many weeks has it been?"

"Two."

"Yes two. You need to kiss her."

"No."

"Why?" She whines.

"Tch."

Erwin speaks up again, "honesly i dont like the thought of my right hand man falling for a cadet but, whats done is done. Just make sure it doesnt destract you from the mission. I still want you to follow me for this mission and leave your squad. Im sure theyll be fine, eren has his titan form and mikasa is a very skilled soldier."
