The wedding was meant to be small but, every scout joined. It was almost too much for Levi to handle. Too crowded but, each time he looked over at Mikasa, he's reminded that this is their day and the beginning of their promise to each other.

Mikasa couldn't keep herself away from him that day. She held his hand, wrapped herself around his arm. The slight touch of their arms touching and bumping into each other though her favorite was when he slid the ring on her figure and her with him. Her heart ached to begin everything. To start their lives together, even children crossed her mind.

Then there was the glorious day of the titans being defeated and hoped it meant freedom. Eren learned of the true enemy across the sea.

"I'll have to wait a little longer to open the tea shop," Levi sighs.

"Do you think you're getting too old now?" Hange pokes fun at him.

"Shitty glasses....." He looks at her, her one eye patched up from the last battle at Shiganshina.

So much was lost. He can't regret it though. Erwin words from the beginning keep passing his mind, keeping him sane from all that chaos. All those bodies torn up from the rocks the beast Titan threw, haunt him to no end.

He was busy reaching the beast titan, he didn't see when Erwin got hit and his  mind and nightmares, he sees him riding alone, yelling as the rocks rip him apart bit by bit. Erwin never got to see the basement.

He was lucky Mikasa forgave him about Armin. He almost didn't choose him, no matter how much it hurt her, he believed he had to do what was best for humanity. They fought and even though she forgave him and was grateful for his choice it took her sometime to talk to him like she always did.

"War is exhausting," he simply says.

Years pass and the war with Marley is over. They are finally free. Though at what cost? So many lost their lives.

"We won, their lives weren't in vain," Mikasa tried to comfort him one night from another terrible nightmare. It was hard to sleep again. Most nights Mikasa was left to sleep by herself as he kept himself busy with paperwork and planning for their future.

They went and saw the ocean after defeating the titans. There was no way Levi was going to touch that water. He watched as Mikasa took off her shoes and rolled up her pants, sleeping into the water. She splashed and ran into it, joining everyone else. He's never seen her be so playful and alive.

------

Levi finally gets to start his tea shop and they both agree to set it up at one of the new towns near the ocean. Then she can look at it everyday and today was the day they visit Eren's grave.

It sits the edge of a cliff, the waves crashed into it, spreading crystals of salt and water all around.

It's been two years since he passed.

"Oh you guys are already here." Armin says as he climbed up the hill to the cliff.

Mikasa stands up and turns to hug him, "I'm glad to see you. Are you doing okay?"

Armin will someday have the same fate as Erin.

"I'm fine. No worries."

Levi turns to face the ocean and something hits him from behind, almost knocking him over. He growls, ready to kick who ever is behind him but, he knows that laugh.

"Shitty glasses, you almost pushed me over the edge."

Hange laughs again, "but you didn't."

"Tch."

She pats him on the head, "it's okay."

He shoes her hand away, "I'm not a child."

"Really? Huh.... Your height confused me."

He just glared at her. He wouldn't actually kick her, even though he wanted to.

They all take turns talking with Eren. They share what has been going on.

Mikasa was last, "I miss you. I wish you were here and that you got to experience everything with us. Also, I haven't told anyone else yet," the last part she whispers but, Levi was close enough to hear, "I'm having a child."

Levi's eyes widen and his mouth hangs open.

"What happened? I never thought to see that look on your face." Hange says, having no clue what just happened.

"Mikasa.....?" Levi breathes. He's frozen.

"Yes," is all she says with a small unsure smile.

Levi could finally move and he embraces her in such a tight and fast hug, Mikasa doesn't have time to react.

"I'm glad your happy about it," she's says, hugging him back.

"Tch, of course I am, brat."

"Wait! What's going on?!" Hange is in a panic, swarming around then and completely ignored.

Strange how their story began with a bet. Well, and also tea.
