Tommy didn't know what to do with John as the man was begging him to welcome Lizzie Stark into the family. He just kept begging for someone to disturbed the moment to give him a way out. Apparently, his screams for mercy had been heard when the door of the Garrison opened and the sweet, angel-like voice of Scarlett greeted Harry who was standing behind the counter.

"Hello Darling! You look great this fine day. Whatcha doing here?" Harry asked, putting the rag down on the counter and giving her his undivided attention.

"Oh, I just had to get some groceries and run some errands", she spoke and gave him a bright smile, as always. "And speaking of groceries, could I have a bottle of whiskey from you?"

This made Harry laugh. "Of course, darling? Scotch or Irish?"

"What do you think?"

"Irish it is then".

Scarlett graced him with a wink then. "Thank you, Harry".

Harry disappeared to the back just as the door of the side booth opened, Tommy Shelby stepping out in all his fine glory and wearing a tailored suit. Scarlett had to hide her gasp behind a small cough. "Mr. Shelby", she told him before turning back towards the bar tapping her fingers against the wood.

Tommy laughed hearing her call him 'Mr. Shelby'. She only ever did that when she was trying to get to him. He hadn't seen her in a while, completely ignoring her ever since Chaltenham. He was trying to protect her but he knew what she would be saying.

'I can take care of myself'.

But that wasn't what Thomas was most worried about. He didn't want to poison her like he was doing with everyone else around him. She meant to much for him to allow that to happen. "Scarlett", he greeted her while giving her a curt nod with his head, taking the seat next to her. Even when he wanted to stay away from her, he couldn't. That chemistry between them was just too tempting to resist. He was like a bad addict and she was his drug, his relieve. He needed things to be okay between them. "What brings you here this early? Shouldn't you be at the shop?"

Scarlett scoffed. "My mother can take care of the shop for five minutes while I run some errands, Tommy", she told him. "Really, mother would be offended if she could hear you speak now".

"That wasn't my intention, sweetheart, and you know it".

"Don't call me sweetheart, Thomas".

"Why?"

"You simply don't have that privilege when you are trying to ignore me ever since the races".

"I'm not ignoring you now".

She didn't answer, just huffed making Tommy smirk slightly. Scarlett looked sideways then and caught the look he carried in his eyes. "Okay, just tell me", she said, turning on her high chair a little so she would be facing him instead of leaning away like she had done previously. "What is bothering you?"
