"Hey, Ian! " she greeted almost shouting in her rather ear-irritating voice. Wren wonder how she knows him.

"Pretty waitress you got there" she said in a mocking voice. And walked away, her boots clicking noisily against the marble floor as she made her way to the crowd.

Wren saw him glaring at her fading figure.

"Can I drop you off? I guess you're done for today "

"No... I mean, no I'm not done. I work into the night. Anyways, thanks for the offer. "

"Alright. I'll be on my way now "

"Okay... Oh, meanwhile, you haven't eaten yet " she added, realising.

"Oh, I'm fine. I lost my appetite. Thanks to someone... Anyways, you don't have to worry, see you tomorrow at school " he gave one of his smiles.

"Oh... Okay. See you tomorrow "

"Right, bye "

He said finally leaving. While she went back to her duty still wondering if Ian knew the witch.

She went to take orders from the table which happened to be for the girl she had come to dislike. She didn't have a choice but to take her orders and serve her.

She forced a smile when she got to her. "Good evening, can you please place your orders? " she said handing the menu to her as she chose what she wanted barely looking at her then, handed it back to her.

That was when Wren noticed that she was sitting all alone. It was either her date hadn't arrived and was stood up given the way she looked strained and angry.

She couldn't imagine a guy could keep a girl this pretty, standing. Then she thought of Ian. Maybe he was her date and he left.

Maybe he was waiting for her and she delayed so he left out of anger after all, he said he lost his appetite because of someone.. And she was glaring at her... Could it be...

Wren immediately shook the feeling of jealousy. She had no right to be. After all, she was just the new nerdy girl... She had no place here.

She came back with the orders. She tried to verify before throwing blames.

"Waiting for your date ?" she asked later regretting it as she was greeted with a cold scowl. She wished she could just mind her own business.

"I don't see that as being any of your business, nerd. Does all you do poke into other people's lives? Get a life! " she roared, her eyes burning in rage.

"I'm sorry "

She turned around and left embarrassed.

So much for one day...

San Francisco was surely no place for her. She couldn't wait to finally finish highschool and leave here for good. Whatever would bring her back would be a few holidays.

The sound of her alarm woke her up. She felt so lazy to get off her bed, she just had to, since she had a long day awaiting her. Thoughts about going to that school depressed her even more.

She got her glasses from the table. Her lamp still illuminating the whole room. She was one of those people that slept with lights on. She couldn't stay in dark environments, even.

She dragged her feet lazily to the bathroom. She looked at herself in the mirror, her hair was messy, like that of Princess Anna on the morning of her sister's coronation, looking like a bird nest.

Wrennie Birdie....

She smiled at the thought of that, her blush growing. She immediately got motivated to get to school. Ian said to see her in school today.
