"Looking for this? " she heard the deep coarse voice of her rescuer and she was more than happy as he handed her glasses to her. She didn't know how to express how happy she was as she wrapped her hands around his torso and started crying as he rubbed her back after few seconds, he was taken aback by her actions but got over it.

"Thank you so much! Thank you!" she cried incessantly. She was so grateful to this stranger ,whoever he was. Few minutes after her cries died down, she released herself from the hug, which she kinda regretted, it was really hard warm and comfortable and safe. She wanted to see the face of her rescuer, she took back her glasses, cleaned the lens with the hem of her blouse and put it back on her face. She looked up only to be met by...

She widened hers in surprise and her jaw dropped.

How did he get here? Why did he save me? How did he know I was here? Was it some coincidence? He didn't seem surprised too so he must've known. Why did he let me hug him? Did I just thought his hug was comfortable? Oh God, what's happening to me? Was that pink coloring on his cheeks or am I equally having night and color blindness? What the hell....

"Hey, Nerd" he waved at her, interrupting her thoughts. She stood transfixed looking into the pools of green waters.

Her mouth formed to say something but she couldn't. She needed to leave this place as fast as possible. She didn't want any trouble from anyone especially him, even Nathan said he was dangerous. Then, she turned around and walked away first time slowly and then faster and faster until she completely left him behind. ( bet you guys know who the mysterious rescuer is.. I'm not gonna tell! The school bell went for first period. Wren just opened her locker and saw a yellow piece of paper lying inside which read
'don't walk alone down an alley '

She turned around to see who must've dropped it off but no one was particularly looking at her, they were busy going to their various classes. When she shut her locker, she jumped when she saw who she met at the other side of her locker, she gained composure and asked

"Did you leave this? " bluntly

"Hello to you too "

"There's nothing between us, thanks for yesterday, but in case you don't know, I don't appreciate stalkers " she turned around and left. That was harsh yeah, but she couldn't bring herself to apologize for her rudeness She didn't believe she allowed him to see her so defenseless.

She caught up with with Ian, Mona and Nathan they had the first period together.

"Hey, guys "

"Wow Wren! You're back, how are you doing! " her friend shouted, hugging her tightly

"Ouch, Mona, you'll crush my bones!" she sniffled. Mona was taller than her today, thanks to her heels, Makes girls confident when it came to heights, especially around really tall guys... Likes of Ian and Nathan most of all, Ryder.

"I'm sorry, " she released her "Oh my God, I've missed you! "she hugged her again

"Guys, I'm so gonna die " Wren joked while the guys laughed. She didn't know if they were really amused or wanted to make her feel better.

"What a way to welcome a recovering patient " Ian commented. "Good morning, Wrennie Birdie "

Wren giggled at this " Morning Ian and Nathan" as he nudged her with his arm.

"Hey, what was that for? " she turned to Nathan, feigning annoyance.

"Don't come in the middle of sporty guys fighting " he warned for the umpteenth time.
