"I heard there's gonna be a party tonight" Mona announced when they were walking to third class.
"They always have parties " Wren answered, rolling her eyes.
"You've got to be kidding me! What fun is a Highschool without partiesss? God! I'd rather be locked up in a cellar for days than to live a partyless life. " Mona cared to emphasize on the 'parties'.
"I'd rather live a party less life " Wren mumbled.
"Obviously. You're boring " Mona said manner-of-factly. Then she threw a bubble gum into her mouth.
"By the way, you so have to be there. Its valentine! " Mona continued, pointing at Wren.
"What if I... "
"No no no.. You can't say no to this. I'll give you a makeover.. God knows I've been dying to see your face on real makeup cause I know how amazing that would turn out. And then, there's this dress I got you, I exactly know your size, don't ask me how.. You're my best friend, duh. And damn, are you skinny.." Mona rattled without waiting for a reply.
"Gee, thanks" Wren mentioned sarcastically, feigning hurt. "And are you gonna keep jabbing without knowing my opinion about all this?."
"Uh-uh" she shook her heard. "Like I said, your opinion is not necessary... "
"And whose opinion is not necessary? Someone's being a bitch? " Ian caught on their trail, he gave Mona a short kiss causing Wren to snort internally. She didn't know why she did, she knows she was over Ian but.. Maybe she doesn't like PDAs (Public Display of Affection).
"Hey, Wren. What's up " He noticed her this time.
"I'm good, Ian. Your girlfriend is just infringing my basic fundamental right" Wren informed him. And Ian chuckled.
"And what would that right be, anyway?" He deemed it fit to ask.
"Association? She's forcing me to a party that I obviously don't wanna attend. And breaking my principles. That's my personal right" She complained, pouting.
"Is that true.. Wait, when is this party? " He turned to Mona.
"Tonight ish " she replied. "You're coming with me too" she completed and gave a wide smirk.
"Jesus, babe. You're canceling on our first Valentine date? " Ian complained.
"That's what it is" She didn't show a speck of remorse. She had it all planned out. "Besides we've been on multiple dates.. "
"But not Valentine, its special" he insisted. But Mona didn't look like she was going to listen.
"And I want my best friend here to have a social life. " she said.
"Seriously, Mona. I have a social life, duh. I have you guys " It was Wren. She complained as they walked down the hallway. Lockers were decorated with hearts and flowers, students no, couples in intense make out sessions. She surely didn't want to be in the janitors right now cause so many horny students were busy getting on it. Ugh! She hated Valentine's day, it wasn't stupid lovers day. It was technically Sex day and the thought of that brought crawls to her skin.
"That's the whole point. You have no one aside us and that, my friend is unsocialism." Mona made a quotation sign with her fingers in the air when she mentioned unsocialism.
"That isn't even a word, neither is partyless you could've easily said party free " Wren pointed out.
"Well, whatever. I formulate words to express myself better. Got a problem with that? " She snorted. "With no objection to that, a deal's a deal yeah?" She sounded triumphant.
