"What?" I asked extremely confused

"I know it's a big decision but we don't have to doing anything yet" my dad said.

He went and hugged my mum.

"Your father won't do anything we are not comfortable with" she said.

I then had an idea!

"Dad you should totally go!" I said.

Their faces were surprised. I don't think they expected me to say that.

"What an opportunity!" I then said.

Yes one less parent to deal with now I will definitely be able to win my mum over and hire a club for my birthday. This is going to be awesome.

I decided to invite ellie over. I had a brilliant plan to get Marcus.

She arrived after 10 minutes and we went up to my room.

"So I have figured out what I have that Lindsay doesn't" I said.

She sat on the bed and awaited an explanation

"I have the billy advantage" I said.

She gave the weirdest look.

"What?" She said

"Marcus loves cats and so do I so when he finds out billy is missing-" I started to say then Ellie cut me off

"But billy isn't missing..." she said.

"Obviously! We just pretend he goes missing so I get Marcus to help me find him" I said. 

Ellie had a pleased look on her face. I think she likes my plan.

"Then once I get Marcus. We can get you martinus!" I said.

"Then we are all set for your party!" Ellie said.

"Okay here's what we are going to do. You are taking billy and waiting in the park with him on a lead then when you see us coming let him go then Marcus can rescue him for me" I said.

"Okay I can do that" Ellie said.

"Awesome!" I said.

We planned to do it after school tomorrow.

*next day after school*

School had finished and I got changed and met Ellie. She took billy to the park and I had 'missing posters' for billy. I am on my way to find Marcus at his shop.

I arrived and put my acting skills to the test.

Marcus just bought out some vegetables for sale.

"Hiya" Marcus said.

"Oh.. hi" I said trying not to be super happy that I'm with him again.

"Are you okay? What's wrong?" He asked genuinely.

"It's my cat. He's lost" I said giving him sad eyes.

I handed him one of the posters we made and he skimmed it

"I don't know what happened, he just.. disappeared" I said

"I'd go out and look with you but I've got to help my mum in the shop. I'll put this in the window" he said trying to help. He is so sweet.

"Sure thanks Marcus" I said. He gave me a warm smile.

I turned away and walked down the street. The plan failed. Let's go find Ellie.

"Grace!" Someone yelled.

I turned around only to see marcus running after me.

I smiled widely

"If I lost jubbly I'd be really upset to" he said catching his breath

"Yeah I'm pretty gutted" I said smiling.

Me and Marcus are gonna go get billy! Well.. sort of
