*Grace pov*

I was laying on my bed crying. My life went from bad to worse.

The door creaked open and my mum walked in.

"Oh grace" she said softly. she sat beside me and we hugged for a while.

"I know how you feel" she said stroking my hair.

"What has ellie told you mum?" I asked sniffling.

"She didn't say too much. Don't worry. Just know that you can always talk to me" she said.

My mum pulled a book up from a table and handed it to me.

"Mum I really don't want to read right now" I said.

"No. This book is special. It tells you everything about boys and what they mean" she said.

This could be handy.

"Thanks mum" I said

She smiled and left.

I began to read the book. It took me a while but I think I finally understand!

The next morning. I went downstairs. Jem was painting the wall. My friends were over as well.
Bella and Sofia stood there staring at him.

I signalled for us to go but they didn't listen.

My mum walked in. She stood staring at him.

He was shirtless as well

He turned around.

"Hey girls" He said smiling.

Mum giggled.

I rolled my eyes.

"Come on" I yelled

We all went outside.

"I'm getting worried about my mum" I say.

"When is your dad coming back?" Bella asked.

"He wants us to move out with him" I say

"What? Are you really leaving?" Ellie asks.

I think

"No way. Mum doesn't want to go either. Besides I have to get Marcus first" I say.

The others all nodded and smiled.

"Anyway. My mum gave me this book. It's all about boys. I know how to get Marcus back" I say excitedly

"Tell us then" Sofia exclaimed.

"It says boys are like elastic bands. They like to be close but after a while they have to stretch and be far away, and you have to let them. Then they come springing back again!" I say happily.

"Okay so what's the plan then?" Ellie asks.

"The concert" I say smiling.

The others looked at each other confused but I had a brilliant plan.

Day of the concert

I decided to go with Dave. Hopefully that will make Marcus jealous. We walked in the building and Marcus was right there.

We walked past him and he was looking at us.

We went round and to get a drink.

Marcus was following us.

He walked past and when he did I would laugh really loud and tell Dave how funny he was.

Marcus sighed and walked away.

Me and Dave started to talk. He actually is really decent.

"You look gorgeous tonight grace" he says

"Thanks" I said smiling.

Then Marcus spoke through the microphone.

Marcus and martinus stood on stage and were about to sing. I've never heard them before.

"Good evening everyone. We are going to sing a song called bae" he said. The music started.

They began to sing.
