Scarlett stepped through the portal and found herself back in Brooklyn. A content sigh left her lips and then began to walk forward. She was so glad to be home and back at the institute.

She then heard Clary's voice behind her.

"How have you dealt with her for this long?" Clary spat at Jace.

"Because I'm adorable. And I don't think everything is about me." Scarlett sneered as she turned around to face the red head.

Jace sucked his lips between his teeth to try and stifle a laugh as well as a couple of the others as they stepped through the portal.

Alec walked up to Scarlett and hugged her. It was random, but she needed it. She wrapped her arms around his torso and hugged him tightly.

She heard a sigh and then footsteps. She twisted her head a little to see Jace stalking towards the institute with Clary hot on his heels.

Scarlett gave Alec one last squeeze before pushing herself out of the hug and grabbing her bags.

"Magnus is going to bring you guys back to his place, and then we'll meet there in an hour or so. Okay?" Scarlett said to Caroline, Damon, Stefan, and Elena.

Care nodded and then followed the Warlock.

Alec, Scar, and Izzy all walked into the institute. She was given smiles and a few waves. Maryse walked down the steps and came to the front hallway.

"What were you thinking?! Challenging on two of the original vampires? Are you out of your mind?!" Maryse scolded the blonde in which Scarlett crossed her arms.

"Maryse, I won. Sure, I've mad a couple enemies but I won. Klaus is a total brat, but he also has a kid. Elijah is just as protective over Klaus and his niece. They were dead when I left so they're probably already searching for me. Also, I met Caroline. Her and three of her friends are staying in Brooklyn with Magnus. So, if you don't mind I'm going to go settle back in and take a long, well deserved shower." Scarlett retorted to the woman who raised her. She grabbed her bags and walked to her room in which she tossed her bags down, stripped and headed to the shower.

After her shower, she had a towel wrapped around her chest and she was scrunching her hair with another until she tossed it on the bed. She searched through her bags until the door opened.

Alec walked in and closed the door, before taking a deep inhale.

"Why didn't you tell me?" He asked, hurt etched into his features for the time being.

"Because Alec. I knew how'd you react. You'd forbid me from leaving because you'd be afraid of me getting hurt, and never coming back. But I'm fine. I always am." Scarlett explained as she finally got her pyjamas out. She walked into the bathroom and closed the door halfway. She changed behind the door, coming out a in a dark blue halter top, high waisted leather pants and socks.

"Scar- I-" Alec was stumbling over his words trying to think of something to convince her that she should of told him.

"Alec. I'm fine. I'm always going to be fine. You are so sweet for caring, and trying to be mad and this angelic face but it's not working out. I'm too irresistible." Scarlett joked, and motioned to her face before throwing her dirty clothes into the hamper.

Alec smiled at the girl pulled her into another hug. Alec was overthinking a lot of things. Ever since she left. Jace was too calm about Scar being missing, because the last time Scarlett went missing he acted completely different..

Scarlett had gotten kidnapped by a rouge Warlock, wanting Scarlett to become the first ever hybrid that had shadowhunter blood. The minute Jace found out Scarlett had gone missing he immediately went to blame Alec who was with her.
