T W E L V E

As Scarlett woke up, she was greeted by multiple worried faces, and millions of questions.

"You are an actual angel?"

"Can I make a 'did it hurt when you fell from heaven' joke?"

"No, Simon. But seriously Scarlett, did you know about any of this?"

"Izzy, come on. She obviously didn't. She's visibly confused. But adorably confused as well."

"Jace, stop it. Scar, are you okay?" Alec finished off from all the questions. There were more before that, but Scarlett only payed attention to those.

"I guess I'm okay. I'm just so confused and shocked at this." Scarlett mumbled and then turned to look at Maryse who was standing at the end of the bed.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Scarlett practically snapped at the brunette woman.

"Honey, it was for your own good. You were being hunted." Maryse pleaded as she came to stand beside her.

"Yeah, well I'm not being hunted now. Castiel wants me to train to be an angel, to use my power for good. So, you know I'd like to talk to my friends and family here." Scarlett sneered as she turned slightly so her shoulder and back was to Maryse. Her body still ached and sent sharp pains whenever she moved but for know, she didn't want to even look at Maryse.

She heard the tapping of her heels as she exited the room and she then looked to the group. "So you have to train to be an angel?" Simon asked.

Scarlett rolled her eyes and smiled. "Well I have to build up strength, and tolerance to it as Castiel said." Scarlett quoted and then sighed heavily.

"So how long am I on bed rest for?" She grumbled which caused Jace to smile.

"About three days." Alec replied while grabbing a hold of Scarlett's hand. She squeezed it tightly and smiled up at Alec. She purses her lips and closed her eyes slightly.

"Where's Clary?" Scarlett sighed out as she looked at the group of blondes and brunettes, but no red head.

"With Luke. He got injured pretty badly in a werewolf fight. Also, don't ever let Jace drive." Alec answered as he sat on the edge of the bed. Jace went around and sat on the other side and rubbed Scarlett's leg.

"Wow. Maybe Luke and I can bed rest buddies! And I never even thought of getting into a car with Jace in the drivers seat." Scarlett joked as she poked Jace's ribs with her toes. He chuckled softly and grabbed where she poked him.

"Stop it." He grumbled with a smile. Scarlett stuck her tongue out at him and did it again. He clicked his tongue and stood up.

"Scarlett, I um. I told mom about everything." Caroline told her. Scarlett's head snapped to Caroline who was at the foot of the bed.

"And? What's she doing?" Scarlett spoke really quickly, that it Caroline didn't have supersonic hearing, she wouldn't of caught it.

"She's coming here tonight. To meet with you." Caroline spoke cautiously, not wanting to prod and set Scarlett off.

"I'm not ready. I'm not ready to meet her. I can't." Scarlett began to ramble as she pulled off all the wires connected to her and sat up. She stood, placing a cool hand to her forehead as she stumbled slightly towards the door.

"Scarlett, sit down. You're not rested enough." Izzy warned as she came to beside Scarlett and set a hand on her shoulder. Scarlett shoved it off and looked to the brunette.

"Listen Izzy. I don't care right now. I am not meeting the woman who abandoned me. The woman who was supposed to raise me, the woman to neglected to even try and contact me but had to get her other daughter to do it first because apparently she didn't want to speak with me. But now, all of a sudden she finds out I've been hurt, and I'm angel and she wants back into my life. Only for protection. I bet you that. So no Izzy. I'm not sitting down. I'm going to my room and I'm staying there until Liz gets here, and leaves." Scarlett snapped with a couple of years running down her cheeks. Izzy looked taken aback, as did the rest of the group. They hadn't seen the side of Scarlett and it was shocking.

Izzy was honestly afraid of the blonde in front of her. The look in her eyes, the anger radiating off of her, it wasn't good and Izzy decided that it'd be best to leave Scarlett alone.

Scarlett looked to the rest of the group, silently asking them if 'anybody else wanted to try and stop her?' They all avoided eye contact with her and she turned and left the room. Limping slightly to her room in which she closed the door, locked it, and went and sat on her bed. She grumbled and laid down on her back, rubbing her forehead.

"What is happening?" She whispered quietly to herself before she broke down. She took off her glasses and covered her eyes as she sobbed. Her entire body shook and she was almost to the point of hyperventilating. Scarlett stood up and tried to take deep inhales but it didn't work. She sobbed again and collapsed on to her knees.

She was completely overwhelmed. The fact of her being an angel, her mother wanting to see her, her jumbled up feelings towards a boy, the overall stress Clary's problem is putting on the group, and the fact that she has a huge part in the upcoming apocalypse.

She heard a knock on the door and she sniffled, still trying to catch her breath. "Scar, open up. It's just me." Jace called through the door.

"I can't, I can't." She whispered quietly but apparently Jace got the message. The doorknob jiggled and then the door opened. Jace slipped in, closed the door and locked it again before taking two long strides until he reached Scar and crouched down.

She had her hands over her face, sobbing. She was an absolute mess. Jace pulled the girl into a tight hug in which she snuggled in more while bawling. She was still trying to catch her breathes in which Jace was quietly shushing her soothingly. He was rubbing her back and pressing long kisses to her head, and forehead.

Her breathing slowed down a bit but she was still crying, and sniffling. "Come on. Let's get you up on the bed." He whispered softly. She stood up, Scarlett still in his arms. She turned and crawled into the bed, under the covers in which she looked up at the blonde boy with eyes that made Jace's heart break.

The look in her now dim, glossy eyes made him crawl in right beside her. She  snuggled right up to him and her wrapped his arms around her.

"I know you'll talk wen you're ready, but I need to know one thing." Jace whispered to Scarlett.

"What is it?" She sniffled slightly as she pulled her head back to look at Jace in the dim light that was coming off of the setting sun.

"Could you see us together, in the future. Ever?" Jace muttered quietly, nervousness ridden in his voice. Scarlett was shocked to say the least. She never expected this, and even the new tone in his voice.

"Of course I do. But there is so much im dealing with right now J, I just," Scarlett sniffled and took a deep breath. "I just need to make sure what we have, is really there before we try a relationship." She mumbled quietly to the boy. She was half lidded and a small smile ghosted at the edges of her lips.

"That's fine. I totally understand. Can we kiss sometimes? If not it's completely okay, I'll understand completely if-" Jace had began to ramble but Scarlett had leaned forward and pressed her lips against his to quit his rambling. Jace began to kiss back. It wasn't a lustful, hungry kiss. It was a soft, passionate one in which the two quickly got addicted too.

They pulled back for air, before connected again. The only time they moved was to either cup one another's cheek or play with their hair. They pulled back finally and the two smiled at eachother.

"I could get used to this." Jace commented in which resulted a soft tap on his cheek. "Yeah whatever." She mumbled before curling into his chest and entwining their legs together. She kissed his chest softly before closing her eyes and humming softly.

A/N

Short chapter. I'm Canadian so i have a long weekend for Thanksgiving so I'll hopefully be getting at least two-three updates this weekend. I'll be introducing Scarlett to the Winchesters next chapter and some action involving Demons. Wink wink.
