Chapter 17: Fighting the bite

(Lani's pov)

"Guys where's Erika and Cora?" I asked.

"Haven't seen them."Scott said. All of the sudden a smell almost knocked me over.

"I smell death. ERIKA! CORA!" I screamed. We ran through the woods for a while until I came up
on a body. It was Cora, And next to it was Erika.

"OVER HERE!" I yelled. "T-T-THEY'RE DEAD!"

"They're what?!" Scott asked, rushing over to me.

"D-dead." I repeated, silent tears trickling down my cheeks.

"Oh my god..." Isaac said, walking to me, with Boyd, Noah, and Liam behind him.

"I smell... Lacy." I said. "OH MY GOD I'M GONNA KILL THAT SON OF A-"

"Lani!" Scott said.

"WHAT?"

"Stiles is in her pack. He just texted me."

"Whats a Stiles?"

"It's a person! Geez. He's my Best Friend. He's dating Lacy." Scott said.

"We have to get him away from her, He's not strong enough to be an Alpha, The bite could kill him!" I said.

"Well then lets go." Scott said. We all started walking but I realized Boyd wasn't coming. I went back to him.

"Boyd, It's okay. We'll kill Lacy for Erika, I'll even let you do it. I know she was everything to you." I said.

"She was everything..." He muttered.

"Lani! Boyd! Common!" Scott yelled.

"Common Boyd." I said, grabbing his hand and pulling him along behind us. We made it to the edge of the city.

"Scott call Stiles, ask where he is." I said.

"Okay." Scott said, pulling out his phone. He dialed a number and held it to his ear.

"Stiles, where are you?... WHAT!?! Stiles you need to leave, Now... No I'm not but you could be in real danger with that bite... Please just- Stiles? Stiles? Ugh he hung up on me." Scott said, Putting his phone away.

"Guess who's door I'll be ripping off for the second time." I said, and started walking to Lacy's house, my pack, Or what's left of it, Behind me. We made it there and I ripped the door off.

"Stiles!" I yelled, but the house was empty. "She's taken him somewhere. Scott, you've smelled him, See if you can catch a scent, and quick, he could die within minutes of being bitten."

Scott started smelling around the house.

"Got it! Follow me!" He yelled, running out the backdoor of the house. The pack and I followed him, until Liam stopped me.

"Yeah?"

"Bite me." He said.

"Wha- bite you?!" I asked, shocked.

"Yep. Do it." He said.

"Uhh... okay?" I said, biting his arm.

"Okay, Common." I said, and we started to catch up to the pack.

"He's really strong here!" Scott said. I felt something move under me.

"Guys! They're underground!" I said. I pulled on a handle that was poking out slightly from the bushes and went down into it. I saw Stiles and Lacy sitting on a couch.

"Stiles! You need to come right now, You could literally die any minute." I said. Stiles stood up and looked at me. He coughed and black stuff came out of him mouth.

"SCOTT HIS BODY IS ALREADY FIGHTING THE BITE!" I yelled uo the stairs, Scott came running down. All of the sudden Stiles collapsed. Scott and I both went to him.

"Scott he's not going to last long and... Erika... She had my bag! Now she has it." I said, pointing at Lacy. "Lacy I need that bag you got off Erika, and don't say you dont have it, I can smell the stuff it had inside."

"No."

"Lacy he's gonna die if you don't Give me the bag!" I said, she threw it at me. I opened the book and went through it.

"We need to bite him, but it needs to be a New Beta. He'll be able to successfully turn into a Beta and it'll boost his healing system, So it'll push all of this contaminated blood out."

"I'll do it." Liam said. "I'm the newest Beta."

"Does that mean he'll be in your pack?" Lacy asked, her voice full of disgust.

"Yes." I said, Her eyes turned Red. "Isaac and Boyd are on disposal duty, which means if you move your body wont be found." She glared at me.

"Okay Liam, go." I said. Liam bent down and bit him.

"Eww... Okay thats a lot more disgusting then I thought it'd be, Ugh." Liam said, standing back up. All of the sudden Stiles started coughing, then spit out a ton more black stuff.

"What's happening to me?!?" He said, Panicking.

"You're healing. Her bite would've killed you, and she knew that, she was probably using you to get to Scott." I said.

"Was not!" Lacy yelled.

"Well... who do you believe Stiles?" I asked. Stiles looked back and forth between Scott and Lacy.

"I'm sorry Lacy, But I believe them." He said. Lacy charged at me and Stabbed me with her claws. I let out a shriek, then fell.
'Wounds from an Alpha don't heal' I remembered. I Laid there, and started coughing up blood, then the room went black.
