I paces around my living room waiting for Spencer. It was 6:58 and he would be here any minute. For some reason I was nervous about this date. What if I got caught in a lie? What if he could tell I was lying? Oh there were so many things that could go wrong tonight. I was starting to regret even agreeing to this.

There was a soft knock on my door. I take a deep breath before answering. "Hi." I say with a smile on my face. Spencer looked me over. "Wow you look amazing." I couldn't help but blush and let out a small laugh. "Thank you so do you." My palms were sweating a little bit from my nerves.

"Are you ready to go?" He asked. "Yes," I say grabbing my small purse from the table next the door. I step outside my apartment and lock the door behind me. He takes my hand in his and leads me to his car. His hand was so warm compared to mine.

When we got to his car he opened the door so I could sit down. Wow he was a real gentlemen. He shuts the car door once I'm inside and walks over to the drivers side. The car starts and the radio turns on playing classical music in the background. "You like classical music?" I asked. It was kinda weird to see a guy as young as him like classical music. Not that I was judging him or anything but I mean it's not normal.

"Yes I do. I know it weird. You can change if you want." I shake my head. "No I kinda like it. It's a change from what I normally listen to." Spencer smiles at me as we arrive at the restaurant. He parks the car and we both get out. I could tell he was a little hurt that I didn't let him open the door for me but I just hated when people did that. It made me feel like I was incapable of doing it myself and that was a feeling I didn't like.

Spencer of course makes it up by opening the door to the restaurant. I just smiled at him as he walks up to the hostess. "Name?" She asks with a fake smile plastered on her face. "Spencer Reid." The lady looks down at her list and crosses of his name. "Right this way." Spencer takes my hand as we walk behind the hostess.

Oh no I really hope he doesn't feel the need to pull out my chair for me. Who am I kidding he probably will. Luckily for me we were placed at a booth so he couldn't. I let out a sigh of relief.

Moments after we sat down our waitress came over. "Good evening. Would either of you care for a glass of wine?" Spencer shock his head but I couldn't help saying yes. The lady opens the bottle and fills my glass with the red liquid. "I'll have a water." Spencer says. Our waitress nods her head and walks away.

"Do you not drink?" I ask as his eyes scan over the menu. He shakes his head, "No I never know when I'll be called into work so I chose not to." I nod my head and look over the menu. My eyes land on a nice salad. "What do you do for work?" I ask as if I didn't already know. "I work for the FBI."

My eyes widen a little as if I was surprised. "Wow that really cool." He smiles and our waitress walks back over with his water. "Are you two ready to order?" We both nod and Spencer goes first asking for some chicken or something. The waitress looks over to me ready for my order. "The Italian salad." She nods and walks away.

"What about you what do you do for a living?" Alright Hayley pick one thing and remember it. You can do this. "I work at a call center." I say. Oh no why did I say that. That's such a dumb job. I wanted him to like me. He eyes light up in interest. He was about to say something when his phone goes off.

"Sorry." He apologizes as he looks over the text. He became visibly sad as he read it. "Hayley I'm so sorry but I've been called in. I promise I'll make this up to you. Do you want me to drive you home?" I shock my head. "No I'll catch a taxi or something. Spencer places some money on the table and walks away.

When the waitress came back over I told her to cancel the order of chicken but I still wanted mine. I mean who didn't like a free meal.
