Reid's pov

I had texted Hayley a few times since our failed date. I felt awful for having to leave before we even go our food. Sometimes I really hate this job. To make it worse she hasn't responded to anything I've sent. I promised myself the moment we got back I would go to her apartment and talk to her.

"Reid where is your head at?" Morgan asked as he walked into the break room. I had been standing in front of the coffee pot for at least ten minutes thinking. Morgan grabbed a coffee cup and poured himself some coffee. "Come on kid talk to me." I let out a sigh.

"It's this girl. I took her on our first date the other night and it was going great. Right before our food was about to come out I got a the text saying we had to come in." His eyes widen in surprise. "It's finally about a girl I thought the day would never come." I roll my eyes at Morgan as we head back to the rest of the team. We had just finished the case and were soon heading back to D.C.

Morgan's pov

We were all sitting on the plane headed back to D.C. Garcia was on the camera about to hang up when I decided it was the perfect time to embarrass Reid a little bit. "So Reid tell us about your girlfriend." That got everyone's attention.

"Oh what's her name?" Garcia asked. Probably so she could look into her background. "Her name is Hayley Walters and she's not my girlfriend. We went on one date. And it wasn't even really a date because I got called into work about halfway through it." J.J. and Garcia both gave him a sad look. "Aww Reid I'm so sorry. How did you guys meet?" J.J. asked. I hadn't heard this part of the story yet so I was very interested.

"We meet in a coffee shop. She turned around to leave and I was kinda in the way and her coffee spilled all over my shirt. She felt so bad about it. Anyways we got to talking and I asked her out but of course that was ruined and now she isn't returning my texts." Reid let out a sad sigh. Poor kid finally found someone good and this job ruined it for him.

I felt awful for Reid. You could tell he really liked this girl. I hope he got a chance to make it up to her. "Don't worry Reid I'm sure everything will turn out for the best." Rossi said reassuringly. Reid just kinda nodded not truly believing him.
