A silent tune played in Vie’s head as she scribbled down notes in her journal. When an older woman walked up to the booth that Vie sat in and she set the check down,” I have a sick daughter at home and I need to go to her. Forgive me but I’m going to have to let another waitress take over from here; her name is Marge.”

Violet smiled,” It’s fine I hope you’re daughter feels better.”

“Thank you.” The older women set down a vanilla milkshake on the table,” And here is your milkshake. Enjoy.”

Vie smiled at the women and poured her milkshake in the glass cup the put a spoon with a large pile of milkshake on it in her mouth. A few more mountains of milkshake and more scribbles in her notebook before she spilled her milkshake on her shirt. When she pulled her shirt up a little to lick the milkshake off a voice in a bad American accent scared her,” Well that looks like a delicious piece of milkshake do you mind if I have a bite?”

Vie snapped her book shut almost immediately and tied the journal shut, she wasn’t surprised when she looked up and found five boys staring at her their eyes gleaming with smiles that matched the puppy dog faces.

“Well what is this journal here filled with?” Harry grabbed the journal out of Vie’s hands and smiled; when he began to tie it Vie snatched it out of his hands.

“Keep your hands to yourself please.”

“Why do you hate us so much?” Lou asked.

Vie smiled and tried to get out but she found herself being squashed into the corner by the two 19 year’s olds pushing to get a spot on her side of the booth. When they were finally comfortable with the spot they were in, which was on top of Vie and each other, it was suppose to be a four person booth. Vie spoke,” I don’t hate you. I just don’t understand why you guys are so intent on trying to get me to have a full scale conversation with you. You have fan girls for that. They would probably dote on everything you said.”

“You know I think that is by far the most amounts of words together we’ve ever heard you say.” Lou said randomly. He was squashed in the middle of the other side of the booth between Zayn, who was on the end, and Liam was pushed into the other wall much like Vie.

All the other boys nodded and Liam just made an I’m sorry face; or as much of one of those faces as possible considering his face was smushed by Louis’s arm. “Well Louis I can understand considering that you people are a little weird. I’m sorry Vie.”

“It’s fine.” Violet leaned in to take a bit of her milkshake but when the spoon came within a few inches of her face another face appeared in front of her and ate it.

An Irish accent filled the air,” That was good you should leave a good tip for the cook.”

Harry, who was located behind Niall’s body, started laughing considering Niall had basically jumped across the table to eat a bit of Vie’s milkshake. “Nice one Niall.” Even Zayn was snickering at Vie and Niall from across the table.

The waitress, Marge, was coming over to refill Vie’s water but when she heard Niall she quickly let out a scream,” ONE DIRECTION!”

Head’s turned in the small diner and all the boys became panic stricken before they could stop it picture phones were out and a few hundred people across New York City knew they were here. Within one minute you could hear a mob of screaming girls from three streets away.

All the boys got up, except Niall who took another bit of the milkshake, and then Harry grabbed Vie and pulled her up out of the booth with them. They all took off running out of the diner with a bunch of girls following them. You could tell that Vie was falling behind each street they turned she ran with a little more of a limp and fell a little farther behind. Until Vie stopped and leaned on the side of one of the buildings they were near.
